Some people should keep their mouth shut so the stupidly flowing through their brain doesn't come outdoor all to hear lol. Don't pay attention to this idiot.

As to the game, Itown is the real deal. It doesn't matter who they play at this point. I think they would have beaten Moeller or their opponent today.
Ironton is very good, but they aren’t beating Moeller. That’s physically a different animal, especially in the trenches. And although Ironton has serious speed, it’s nothing special compared to what Moeller sees nearly every week. Their schedule is extremely tough for a top tier D1 school!

As for the Ironton classic, I’m impressed that Ironton gets teams to this. Herbstreit did something similar but with truly the best teams in the country. Wasn’t able to keep it going financially. So to get teams to travel long distances to southeastern Ohio (not a place many even know exists) is quite the accomplishment. Would be interesting to see the dollars each team gets.
Don’t know if larger schools get more or not but I know of a team that was offered 5K this year
That doesn’t seem like much, but some of these schools are always looking for games; for Moeller, the drive to SEO is one of their shorter trips. Plus, $5k is better than zero.

Assume you never saw the Athens 2014 team. Their offense is in a class by itself for this area. Doubt we ever see another SEO school with an offense like that.

Much credit to Pendleton for putting aside any ego and hiring Kaskey as his offensive coordinator. Kaskey has best offensive mind around here, bar none. Give him athletes at his disposal like Ironton has, and this is what you get.

And Edwards already looks like a different player at QB compared to last year. Not going to be much drop off at Ironton next season regardless who graduates.*

At QB? IHS will be fine. But Terry will be an enormous loss.

Kayden Edwards on his long TD run. Please note how long he held the ball in the arms of his RB before pulling it back and taking off down the field.

He even fooled the camera guy for a second or two. LOL

Hats off to Ironton's Brycen Mullens on a monster game. He ripped the ball away from a runner for a fumble recovery. He made a diving interception on the old tipped-ball drill. He later got a pick-six. Nothing like three turnover recoveries by one player.

Here is the Champions Walk before the game.

No shame if Ironton is second best to that Athens team. But it’s a distant second best.

Mullins also caused the fumble on the first play of the game that Markel recovered

Ironton just on a different level against local teams from what I see, but also have played a down Burg team; an average Jackson team; and a down Cabell Midland team. To Ironton’s credit, they are absolutely destroying these teams. But we might not know what Ironton truly has until Regional Finals against HP.

And no, Burg doesn’t want anything to do with Ironton this year, even if completely healthy.*
St. Francis didn’t let the jv travel with the team. They brought 32 kids i believe

Its so hard for some people to say “Ironton is just that good” they will make every excuse. Keep blowing harder…bunch of darn blow hards!

Not hard at all…Ironton is darn good and best team in area by far. Still not sure though if it enough to overcome their issues at state level as they will face far better teams in Regional Finals, State Semis, and State Finals.

Regardless if they win state or not, it’s the best offense I’ve seen around here in a lonnnnnnnnng time.*

If only St. Francis would play an Ohio team other than Ironton so we could figure their strength. They didn’t though, so we will have to guess. I’ll guess they would beat Cleveland Benedictine 23-17.

I think this Ironton team is much more balanced than that Athens team offensively.

Kaskey was a good quarterback when he was at Burg. I don't know and don't really care what the rift was that lead to him leaving Burg. I am a Burg fan as well but knew Mr Pendleton would get the pieces together for a championship caliber team. I still say Harvest Prep and Itown in regional final. Ironton keeps rolling. I am a football fan plain and simple. As I've said before, you don't adjust you get left behind. Burg used to be above everyone else with conditioning and coaching. Not anymore.
