I have a feeling some stuff is going to start happening and teams will start to shift. I may be wrong. But as much talk that has surrounded all of the teams going here or over there. Some fire has to be behind the smoke. Becuse ita been talked about way to much. Look at unioto. You figure before to long they will be pushed out of its league. Just becuse of the size of school. It's speculation but it kinda makes sense without trying to bend the circumstances.
They can’t kick out Unioto….if they did (0% won’t) Waverly is the fill in team.

I’ve heard the Hillsboro leaving for at least 6 of the 8 seasons…and yea to the SBAAC. Their basketball team is loading up for a nice run the next 3 years….they aren’t going to the SW.

Again, Court House would lose huge gate money across the sports going to OHC

Jackson: 4 Offensive plays, 3 Touchdowns. Efficient to say the least

I was certainly wrong in thinking that this could have been a shootout. Didn't in anyway at all look like the Western Brown of the past few seasons. You do have a great looking and a very good sounding Band.

Another nice win for Jackson, I think playing Ironton and Burg in back to back weeks really helped them for this one. WB typically gives jackson fits with that pass game but Jackson came out early and hammered down.

Jackson has to be pretty darn good as they beatdown a really good team in this one.
Congrats.

Yeah…I’m aware of where everyone is located
And you still think WB is too far for the FAC?
Vinton County claimed travel distance too far to include Warren Local? Was that real?

Yes, Western Brown is not a great fit for the FAC. Western Brown has been a fun matchup with Jackson over the years., great respect for each other. Played them in basketball….wasn’t bad but the 80-85 mile bus trip is not great. Jackson to Marietta…bleh, never much of a rival. I would hate to have to extend the travel for the team that already has the most travel by far.

The FAC has been “rumored” to be in trouble since early into year 1. Hillsboro isn’t happy with the league. McClain fits better in the SVC or go wherever Hillsboro goes. Hillsboro interested in the SBAAC. This has said to have been the case every year. Here’s what I see. I teach 12 miles from Hillsboro and have for 27 years. What I have learned is the Hillsboro and Jackson are eerily similar. City, population, establishments, surroundings. Hillsboro and Jackson in most every sport is a pretty strong and growing rivalry. Nearly every sport, big and small. This is year EIGHT of this “likely to fail league” Across the sports it’s quite competitive. Yes Jackson dominates football, Chillicothe soccer and cross country….but as a whole the league is solid and competitive throughout.

The talk about other teams is just 100% moo
So what you are really saying is that WB is not a good fit for Jackson. The rest of the FAC would be a good fit though. That’s all you needed to say at the outset. I don’t disagree that it would lock jackson in to another long travel commitment but this is the same team that joined a conference with mostly 1 hour + drives to begin with.

Not sure what Warren and Vinton County have to do with WB and the FAC.

Agree, Warren definitely a better fit for the TVC than Western Brown going to a league of 6 teams that are all in a different district. Well said.

I think Waverly and WB would be nice FAC additions. Would give the league 8 teams and a more sound geographical footprint.

Don’t say WB is a good fit for the FAC unless you want I92 to tell you that Warren should be in the TVC for whatever reason. WB isn’t a good fit for Jackson. The rest of the FAC, maybe.

If 2 were to be added I think Unioto and Waverly are the best all-around fits. All just talk though, this isn’t even a thought.

Wanting a geographical footprint is why the SEOAL folded. Adding WB would be the beginning of the end for the FAC. Sure, it's fine for football, because you make that trip every other year on a Friday night. Think about a JV softball game. Or a 9:00am league XC meet on a Saturday.

I don’t think a trip to WB or Waverly would be the longest trip any school would make, with the possible exception of Chillicothe to WB. So while you’re right that those trips you’ve mentioned aren’t great, neither are current trips from Hillsboro or Greenfield to Jackson or Jackson to MT/WCH.

As for why the SEOAL folded, I believe wanting a geographical footprint would rank very low if at all on reasons, but that topic seems to have been beaten to death at this point.

No, those trips aren't great, so why add another "not great" trip? For Jackson, that would make five trips that are more than hour away, and two that would be ~90 minutes. It would be financially irresponsible as well, as WB would be a terrible draw for attendance, and it would equal the longest bus trip on the league schedule.
If the "frontier" begins to expand even more westward, Jackson would be even more so on an island, and most likely out of a league eventually.

Travel distance had nothing to do with why VC was vehemently against Warren rejoining the TVC. If it was they wouldn’t have continued to schedule them for non league games. Yes I realize people on here will argue but it’s not travel time.
