He's fast but he's not linear fast or he would dominate track around here. In fact, the edwards kid is probably faster in a race, at least accorsing to his track times. But his speed is not what makes him good. It's his quickness, I bet his shuttle time is a whole lot more impressive. That's what makes him next level.
Is 4.46 fast enough for you?
E. Lattimore for burg ran a 4.35 40. He plays at Marietta. Again, there’s speed, then there is quickness. I don’t understand how you’re so touchy about it.
Not touchy. He’s a great football player along with speed. His vision on the field is phenomenal. :P :P

Drew Pasteur - has Ironton by 23

Calpreps - Ironton 56 Hartley 22

I think they might both be off this week, we’ll see.

Funny how times change. When these two locked horns in the 2010 season, the same was said about Ironton.

The hunter becomes the hunted.

We will see if the world beaters with pro like speed rolls Academy. If you listen to them , they have already earned a ring. Good Luck with the overhype, After 10-12 games let’s revisit the all star team from Ironton. But Southern Ohio needs someone to step up.Region 19 will havesome eye openers in my opinion.
So burg, jackson, midland, st. Francis is all “down” and its not that Ironton is just that good. Got it🤣 small minded troll!

Jackson isn’t that far down. We still got a good football team and we kept up with Ironton for a few laps. But when Ironton kicked the peddle down they pulled away pretty easily. Ironton is an excellent team this year !

Position by position Hartley has more athletes! More athletic! Terry has not faced the speed and physicality yet this season that he will see on Friday. Also the offensive line has not seen a pass rush like the one they will face on Friday. This game will be a fight. Be ready!

So let me guess if Ironton rolls Hartley it’s going be that Hartley is down.
Now we have to wait till playoffs so you can preach that Ironton will get beat by Barnsville or slaughtered by prep.
Maybe Ironton isn’t that good but No One absolutely No One has come close to beating them.
And that is a fact.

This Ironton team reminds me of the 2017 burg but opposite in what makes their team dominate. Irontons offense is so much explosive than their opponents that it makes the other teams have to come out of their game plan to try to keep up. The 2017 burg team was like that but on the defensive side of the ball. They were the best defensive team Ive ever personally seen. Their offense was good but it was their defense that made them. Ironton defense is good but their offense is what makes this team dangerous

They will eventually run into a team that will match them
In some way. 2017 Burg did too. That’s when you have to find a way to win it. But Ironton has the team that can win it all for sure.

The biggest difference I've seen from this Ironton team vs past years is their discipline. They aren't committing the boneheaded mistakes stalling drives. They are clicking in all phases.

Both can be true: schedule is not as good as originally thought AND Ironton is very good.

What clearly stands out with this team is the lack of mistakes. They are much more disciplined than prior IHS teams. That’s important for getting through the tough playoff games.

So how good are they compared to the other top D5 schools? Calpreps says they are very good and the clear favorite. Other than that, it’s not easy to predict.

As for the game this week, how IHS plays along the lines will be of interest. No team in D5 can match IHS’ skill players, but can they beat IHS in the trenches? That’s the question, and playing a team like Hartley may give some answers to this; especially Hartley’s running attack.

What did he say that was wrong? That’s a fairly accurate assessment.

There’s very little comprehension on the board and forget about being objective.

The 2024 Ironton Tigers seem to be a really dominant team. Wheelersburg fans = remember 2017 remember 2017. Let it go you two. You’re just not that good anymore.

We don’t follow the tigers. So any comparison is going to be based on what we know, especially what we know wins championships. By the way burg dominated their opponents on the scoreboard too that year. They still had to fight to win the last two games.

I agree, the trenches is going to be a battle, especially against Hartleys run game, LB’s will be busy for the Fighting Tigers.

There’s no way I read a post saying Barnesville is beating Ironton that’s ridiculous and isn’t going to happen. The only team that will give Ironton a game in R19 is World Harvest and we all know it
