He was just comparing the teams. Don’t be so sensitive.
So it's all over the internet. It is either mighty homegrown superior coaching and culture, milk & honey, burg picked up portsmouth week 1 and moved Ironton to probably around Harvest Prep week so week 6, or burg ran away beaten and broken entirely yes? Somebody may as well break the story. Lol

Not to change the subject but jussayin.

Ironton would put a running clock on barnesville. Hp has the athletes to compete with or even beat them. If Ironton makes it out of the region and plays a team from northern oh they will be a definite underdog just like any other seo team. Just look at the past 35 years. Burg in 17 and amanda cc two or three times in the late 90s won it all. Other than that the seo teams get it handed to them north of Columbus. History confirms that.

I agree unless you have seen Ironton in person this year you truly have no idea how good this Ironton team is.
Highlights don't do them justice this team is quick and strong and disciplined on the O-Line.
The skill players are studs it isn't just Terry it is more than him and that really is a understatement.
On defense they finally got their best player back and they absolutely destroyed St. Francis.
This team has yet hit their stride but they are improving each and every week.

I think he was saying not this year when it came to playing a northern team. I agree. Ironton should be the favorite in D5

No players & especially the coaches are concerned about ring size.

Trust & Believe!

The IRONTON staff has gotten the kids to buy in & believe they can compete via year round development of strength, speed, & repetitive fundamentals.

It is showing vividly in the depth, and the lack of having to depend on a big play to counteract the yellow woes. That still needs nipped to continue victoriously, i think in this game, versus Hartley, the strongest program scheduled.

Adding to several names mentioned making the Hawk’s strong should be the running back. Lathon, 5-9, 190, Who is coming off a breakout 2023 season in which he rushed for 1,543 yards and 17 touchdowns, according to CMH newspapers. So, they have players!!

Gonna be a good one.

Harvest Prep was very fast to ball -v-ashland, which i watched. Ashland was hanging around until rain delay.
After that, HP speed & size was too much & they were a step away from being in QB’s face OFTEN..

Very solid HP squad who got some transfers from KIPP, & other CMH perimeter schools.

One game at a time & staying healthy help IHS to continue to do well.

This maybe unpopular here but Hartley is probably better than Harvest Prep. Tough game for Ironton tomorrow!

I made the statement about Ironton and Barnsville because Woby and RBH23 and Primetime are always saying Ironton is just lucky because their opponents are down or just isn't that good.
They are always bashing Ironton one way or the other if it's not transfers it's playing bad teams.
I was simply being sarcastic in saying what they would say next.
Ironton has one worry in this Region and that is Prep and I do not think Prep can beat this Ironton team.
And I truly believe that.

Where did I say “Ironton is just lucky?” Four running clocks is not luck!

And in my comment about Ironton’s opponents being down so far (which is true), I also stated that Ironton is very good (which is also true). Believe it or not, Ironton’s schedule can be not as strong as expected (no fault of their own), AND Ironton can be a very good team. These are not mutually exclusive events, and this is not an insult towards Ironton.

What I have posted about this game with regards to Ironton:
- I believe Ironton can move the ball against Hartley’s D.
- Hartley’s running attack will be a good test for Ironton’s DL.

Also didn’t bring up recruits/transfer in any of my comments on this thread. Have kept my posts about football, and specifically this game. No IHS bashing on my part.

Try to be courteous and respectful and still get accused of bashing Ironton. LOL!!

What’s impressed me with ironton is the penalties. They have really cut them down. Can they continue that another week. Hartley is going to be tough and tonight is not the night to have a meltdown with penalties. I think the score would be close and wouldn’t be surprised if ironton is down some point in the game. Win or lose it’s a great test for the tigers. This is why they beefed the schedule up. I expect a war

One things is 100% for sure.. ain't NOBODY and I mean NOBODY.. worried about "superior coaching & culture we get better as the season goes 100% homegrown" Wheelersburg.

And thats why these characters stay hating when Ironton has success.

Also the quickness off the ball at the LOS as well as the gang tackling, solid tackling, and physicality. Ironton hits hard and with bad intentions.
