Week 5: Northwest (2-2) @ Minford (1-3)

Post by CuckooNest »

Minford coming off their first W and it’s homecoming.

Mohawks looking to rebound after a big L from the pirates.

Edge to Minford at home in my opinion. Falcons need to clean up their mental errors. Too many repeat penalties (ineligible man downfield) that will cost them in close games. Keep grinding. I was impressed with the effort against Oak Hill and it will take that kind of effort and teamwork to get another W this week.

Minford is 45-18 all time versus Northwest.

Minford is averaging 12 points per game while giving up an average of 32 points per game.

Northwest is averaging 15.5 points per game while giving up an average of 19 points per game.

This one might end up being an absolute dog fight.

NW. They got some good players up front on both sides of the ball.

Northwest takes this one by a few scores, last year Minford tried to embarrass them and they remember it.

LOL. Minford beat them by 42 last year as did West. Waverly beat them by 44 and Wheelersburg by 56. That’s not running up a score but remember whatever gets your blood pumping.

Should be a really close game, let's give the edge to Minford simply because they're at home. This is one they need in a big way.

Minford because the NW coaching staff can’t game plan. They lost to a down Burg team. NW is a bit below average again this year. Minford 28 NW 8

The down Burg team you mention would be undefeated right now if they played Minfords soft schedule. They have played some very good teams so far.

Reality will set in after Valley beats them this week. Wheelersburg is not a good football team.

We shall see. I'm hoping you are right but I don't think they are as down as many of you believe.

I believe this game will be streamed by Gridiron Glory and Appalachian Marketing & Media for those who can’t make it out.

Minford definitely ran the score up last year. Northwest put their JV in and Minford continued with their starters WELL into the 4th. Wouldn't surprise me to see Northwest put up a many as they can tonight.

Still waiting on reality. BURG 35 to 7, not half time yet.
