West made some changes in the defense and have looked much better the last couple of weeks. I think if they can pressure Waverly's QB and slow down the pace of the game they can win.

We’ll see about those changes this week, Hillsboro doesn’t throw the ball and Chillicothe is a very young team. So comparing last couple weeks to the first 2 really isn’t much of a comparison if they have indeed made changes this is the game to witness it in.

They have certainly made it hard to argue your Statement.
Over the years, Waverly has struggled to stop the West running game. I fully expect nothing to change from the last two weeks.
I just hope to be able to score with them and come out with a Win somehow.

Yeah I think the main thing for West as in most weeks but this one in particular with the guys on the outside for Waverly is West simply can't fall behind by 2 scores early on. If West play this their way for 48 minutes they've got a shot

As predicted West is running Waverly at will, and Waverly throwing all over West. Critical west fumble to take the lead. 14-14

And West leaves another 7 points on the field. Two fumbles inside the 10 smh. Another blow, looks like Parker is done for the day. Playing plug and play at running back and still running 20 yard chunk plays every other. West should be winning this ball game.

2 fumbles recovered by the Tigers and the PI on 4th and 10 to keep the Tiger drive alive that lead to the go ahead TD.
Tigers have to feel good about being up a score and getting the ball to start the 2nd half. Need to go up 2 scores.
Waverly has to figure out a way to stop the West rushing attack.

Waverly had it to the West 11 and turned it over on downs after 2 penalties. Then West drove and tied it up.

West drive down and runs the clock down to :38 before scoring on a 34 yard run to go up 35-28.
Waverly with a pass to the West 45 and then another to the 3 with :01 left.
Final play resulted in an incomplete end around pass.

FINAL
West 35
Waverly 28

What an absolute crazy ball game. I have never in my life seen such a contrast in style, strengths , and weaknesses. West literally could not defend in the air. Waverly literally could not stop the run. I would love to see the stats on this game. West had to be pushing 400 yards on the ground and who knows how many Waverly had in the air. Probably averaged 12 yards a carry and who knows what their average plays were. Back and forth all night long. This one just was really gonna sting for whoever lost. I do feel like the better team won when you count for the turnovers and silly mistakes. Waverly didn’t separate when they had the oppurtunity, and allowed us to stay close when they could have put it away. Especially when you account for mason Parker being injured. We was really able to run whoever we wanted, with 11 stacked tight in the box. I looked up at the clock with 38 seconds left after we scored and said it was too much time. And it just about was.

I think we threw and completed one pass all night and it was a beautiful catch by wolfenbarker. Would love to be able to get that rolling in the coming weeks. Was never in a position to really try it again this week. Hard to go against it when you are breaking big ones left and right on the ground.

West finally gaining some momentum but good lord it blows my mind how bad we are in the secondary. Lineman deserve a lot of credit tonight. They pushed them all over the place and allowed Bishop, Adkins, and Wroten to run wild. I hope Parker has some good news. Hate to see anyone hurt but especially seniors

Doesn’t surprise me at all, I was very curious to see if west would sell out to stop the pass and just dare Waverly to run it. Waverly simply isn’t very good in the trenches, sounds like both teams had the opportunity to pull away but didn’t. West fumbling twice I seen inside the 10, wow. Hate to hear that about the Parker boy hopefully it’s nothing major. Outside of trying to sneak a 13 or 14th player out there on defense Waverly couldn’t pack the box any more and still got gashed. Congrats to west on a big win for Waverly man no idea where ya go from here
