Re: Twin State League
Going to be a war between these 3. I think it comes down to Warren and FF, only because Marietta is one-dimensional offensively. They do what they do well and have a good OLine, but Warren and FF, in my opinion, are good enough where being one dimensional with equal talent won’t get the job done for Marietta. That said, those will likely be some very close, physical games.
Re: Twin State League
As of right now, I honestly think the TSL is Fort Frye's to lose. The way they are playing right now...look out.
Really interested to see how Warren-Athens plays out next week. Athens has a really solid team this year. Warriors win and I may amend my prediction. Should be a great game.
It's not always pretty, but Marietta just keeps finding ways to win. If I'm being unbiased though, I tend to agree with beg. Marietta so far as been too one dimensional to beat Warren or Fort imo. Still off to a great start. MHS has a huge game next Friday against a Circleville team that already beat Warren.
And finally, what is going on with Point? Barely beat Gallia then lost to Ripley tonight? I figured they'd be in the thick of things this season.

Don’t disagree with any of that. Fort Frye is on top until someone knocks them off. Big weeks next week for Warren and Marietta for sure - tons of playoff points on the line. I like our chances against Athens. We have the guys on the back end to matchup with them. If Pero is healthy, he’s a difference maker. Should be fun.pioneer19 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 10:38 pm As of right now, I honestly think the TSL is Fort Frye's to lose. The way they are playing right now...look out.

Point might take 3 league games on the chin this year.

Marietta is using Seth Britton as the offense. A FB playing as a wing. Marietta has a decent defense but they don’t have the team speed.

That region 11 that Warren and Marietta are in is brutal. That has to be the toughest region in the state.

Re: Twin State League
These are three very good football programs and I look forward to one of them representing our area in state playoff action.
Re: Twin State League
Have a feeling the league games are going to be the exact same as last year, with Point maybe getting beat worse by the other three this year, although they are capable of winning any of the three if things go their way. I’m expecting 21-17, 17-14, 28-21 type scores again. I don’t see any of these teams blowing the others out. The Fort Frye and Marietta game might last an hour.

Re: Twin State League
If both teams sustain drives and the defenses don’t give up big plays there will be very limited possessions. Both teams can easily eat up over half a quarter on one drive.beg003 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 9:35 am Have a feeling the league games are going to be the exact same as last year, with Point maybe getting beat worse by the other three this year, although they are capable of winning any of the three if things go their way. Re: Twin State League
Warren uses all there weapons they beat Athens and run the TSL .. remember we haven’t had our key member on our o-line this season yet which if he plays against Athens the run game will explode and you’ll see the Warren team that was expected at start of the season and Peyton really hasn’t had to ran the ball that much this season and I think we just got a lil taste of it against Morgan !? Also Warrens defense has really looked hungry lately!

Fort Frye Jr high upsets undefeated Warren 16-14. Clayton Tullius pick 6. Kid is going to be special.
Re: Twin State League
He's never attended Warren schools. Extenuating circumstances led to him residing in Warren, but he has no other relationship to the school.Feedme#2WarrenFB wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2024 5:54 pm He lives in Warren School district and is 25 miles from Marietta…
