CG gets one play off and loses a fumble at midfield.

Heiland immediately carries one 50 yards for the score. Blocked xp makes this one 27-0 Portsmouth. Still early in the 3rd.

Portsmouth forces a turnover on downs in their own redzone. Unless CG can start slinging the ball downfield this one might be a foregone conclusion as it's still 27-0 late in the 3rd.

Heiland runs in another score to put Portsmouth up 34-0 with around 8 to go in the game.

Congrats Trojans on the impressive win. If I would have known that you were going to dominate the way you did, I would have picked you earlier. LOL

Big road win for Portsmouth! Thought this would be a toss-up game, but Trojans controlled it from the start. I think they win out until Ironton. But even with a loss there, Portsmouth still likely gets a home playoff game.*

I like most people figured this to be a tough game with a lot of points scored. Turns out it was only a tough game for the Grove. Portsmouth controlled the game on both sides of the ball. Murphy still had some nice runs and yards, but they contained him a bit, the other backs held in check and stood tall at the goaline. I believe Williams & Heiland combined to rush for 360+ yards and 5 TD’s. Crazy to have a game this day and age where between both teams 6 passes were attempted lol. Nice win for the Trojans.

Seen them both:
Portsmouth has the best single running back(Heiland)
Fairland better all-around diverse offense

Fairland better defense
Stopping DB’s predictable play calling shouldn’t be taken as a great accomplishment.

Fairland by 8

I sure was wrong about my prediction of this game.

Congratulations to the Trojans on the win!

Portsmouth is the best team in the OVC. Period. Just nice to see a competitive conference again

Gotta win out in conference to prove that. Fairland is a really good team, similar to Greenup county. Capable of running it, like to air it out, good speed, some really experienced players. Portsmouth hung with Greenup for a while, and I think could have won. I think they can play with Fairland, just gotta be able to stop the pass and make them run, run defense is the Trojans strength on defense. With that said gotta focus on Chesapeake first.
