Don’t see any game this week being too close. Top 4 teams playing the bottom 4. As a Unioto fan I’m not too comfortable because of the letdown game vs AC

Unioto 35-0. Could’ve been way worse but I’d say Unioto had over 100 yards of holding calls. Unioto still can’t run the ball

Piketon 1-0
Paint valley 1-0
Zane trace 1-0
Unioto 1-0
Adena 0-1
Westfall 0-1
Southeastern 0-1
Huntington 0-1

Piketon vs Zane trace piketon favored to win the league coming off a huge win on the road at Zane trace I’ll take zt in the upset

Paint valley goes to westfall pv just needs to show up and stay healthy with all their offensive fire power the rest of the league will struggle to keep up I’ll take pv by 40

Unioto gets a home game finally, we have a lot to clean up on both sides of the ball and we usually struggle vs the huntsman take the tanks in a close one at home

Adena bounces back vs southeastern after all the hype around the warriors they were brought back to reality by the zt rushing attack

Looks like so far the predictions are holding true with piketon and paint valley heads above the league with Zane trace getting healthy at the right time

Zane Trace beating Piketon would not be an upset.

Only upsets in the SVC this year would be if a bottom 4 team kcocked off a top 4 team.

I got ZT over Piketon. Just like I said last week, Piketon would’ve also been 0-3 with ZTs first 3 games. ZT will win up front

I took zt as well, I was just going with the preseason talk on this site and in the media the consensus was paint valley and piketon were the top teams with zt to challenge and unioto behind after losing so many seniors to graduation

Like someone said, it will come down to the last 3 weeks. Piketon is the only team that could knock off PV or Unioto before Week 8.

Some big games this week. ZT needs to win to avoid Ironton but I think they’ll be fine vs PV. Piketon needs to beat Westfall to get into the playoffs. Pretty sure Westfall beat them last year

If pv gets healthy I would think they have the best chance for a playoff run

It doesn't sound like Paint Valley is ready for a playoff run. Sounds like they have major issues to address before that.

I think that just depends on your definition of a playoff run, is that winning 2 games?? If that's the case I don't think PV is equipped for that, they'll get a 1st round win possibly but I don't think they've got 2 rounds in them. Also not sure what is going on with Robertson but if he's done they're really not going to. If we're considering 2 wins as a playoff "run" I don't see any SVC team being capable Unioto might be the closest based on matchups though. No one in region 19 is making a run.

Right now worst case scenario is West Holmes and that looks likely rn. Would hope we could get Waverly or East Liverpool. Even Alder would be a better matchup than West Holmes

I know nothing about West Holmes but just looking at their schedule and scores I don't see why West Holmes is some worst case scenario. They've got 4 wins against teams that are a combined 8-28 even looking at the teams they've lost there's really nothing there on paper anyways that I see as some kind of oh no scenario. Personally just looking at Alder's schedule that would be much worse than WH, 7 out of Alders 9 opponents so far have 7 wins or more on the season with 2 of them being undefeated, they've beat 2 teams that have a 7-2 record including a win against Urbana and we know what they did to Unioto last year. Unless you know something about West Holmes that I'm not seeing by the numbers that might be one of your best case scenarios also, Alder for sure isn't.

I mean Alder has a lot of good losses but West Holmes has the same record and a harder schedule. I wouldn’t want to play either team tbh. Would rather play some of the higher seeds like Logan Elm or FU

I think Drew’s computer is overstating the quality of the Ohio Cardinal Conference this year. That league doesn’t have a great track record historically, and outside of Ashland (top 2 qb prospect in class of 2026) they’ve been underwater in non-league this season. Fair to give Mansfield Senior a pass (down year?) but Madison historically isn’t great & neither is Lex.

No doubt Alder has played their share of clunkers. CBC is top heavy with a couple more teams toward the top. This would be considered a “down” year by some JA people.

Their schedules honestly just seem similar, tbh. I would agree that Alder isn’t a “best case scenario.”

Fair. I really just base stuff off of his website and the games I see. I really have only watched SVC and CBC in person so that’s my bad

nah it’s all good. I would also agree that FU is a relatively more advantageous matchup (doesn’t seem likely to happen but I thought I saw them plugged a few posts ago)

West Holmes is better than their record. Tough schedule.
