Then I have to guess that Fairfield is fine with winning the ovc and getting blasted in the playoffs when the meet one of the big 2 or 3 teams . It's ok boys . We get beaton by ironton or hp by 6 tds but we don't want no evil transfers. Around here we think like it's 1995.Jonjon wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 3:39 pmFairland has a very good HOME GROWN team. They usually have a very good home grown team. They don’t recruit like Ironton. Ironton should be happy to play them as they will provide a ton of playoff points.Old Time Tiger wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 10:30 am I remember reading w/ schedule first came out that Canadian teams do not count in Ohio computer rankings.. Guess we'll have to count on the powerhouse Fairland Dragons to supply us with needed points...

Maybe Fairland is trying to imitate what Ironton has done the last few years, minus the transfers. You know win the OVC and then get blasted by the big boy's in playoffs.gobucs20 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 7:32 pmThen I have to guess that Fairfield is fine with winning the ovc and getting blasted in the playoffs when the meet one of the big 2 or 3 teams . Ironton has beaten Prep in the playoffs before. Valley View also. What has Fairland been up to?

"Home grown" = there are transfers in all schools areas every year. "Home grown" means the kids who are transfering for ANY reason in this case, ain't interested in FAIRLAND for any football. Lol. Fairland doesn't ATTRACT!!!! Attract is the word ya looking for. Fairland is not THAT kinda program. Lmao. Bum.

I'm glad they ain't trying to imitate SOFTburg tho. Ya know, get raw dogged like 15 times to 1 over like a small 4 year window by Ironton, Jackson & Prep. Lol Then get mercy ruled on ya own field. Then stopped playing em and running away. Lmao deeeeyaaaammmm. That's tuff!! First off, I know nothing about or have never ever heard of Clarkson North Cananda High School. In doing what research that I've been able to do, I have yet to find anything that indicates that this game will be played on Ice, and with Hockey Sticks also. Therefore, I'm going with the Tigers with the Win, and hopefully the 6th straight running clock.
Re: Clarkson North Cananda @ (5-0) Ironton
Before last year, Fairland played ironton tough the two years before. Idk what happened last year because imo that ironton team was not as good as the ones from years before.

Which players on this year’s Ironton team, of those actually contributing, has not been there since they were at least a freshman? I honestly don’t know the answer.

Appreciated reading this, and learning about the mill industry’s link there. You go to the Greater Toronto Area today and it’s hard to find that connection, outside of how much CN rail runs through the area.farmer wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2024 6:41 pmNot that far into Canada in the city of Mississauga. Which over 40 years ago did not have much in it except a massive lumber mill. Then the tech industry took hold. Major influx from the foreign tech companies. To today being the third largest city in Ontario. Not far from Toronto. So if you think Ironton is civilization maybe you should take a trip over the border to Mississauga as I have quite a few times.

Yep, them boys gonna fold up like a cheap suit. And if Ironton can get that Bundy fella outta Chicago they might score 100 again them.Jawnjkang98 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 8:43 pmHe knows in mere weeks them fairland boys are gonna get hit like they ain't been hit alllllll season and they're gonna fold like lawn chairs. Not the same north martinsburg walked a few years back.
This team is VERY big and fast, and none of the linemen plays both ways.
They have a 6’5 300 pound tackle paired with a 6’4’ 300 pound tackle and two 6’3 280 pound guards.
Receivers are tall, fast, agile and good route runners.
Qb does a good job running RPO and taking what a defense gives him.
Their only lost was to the #90 team in the country who’s only lost is to the #40 team in the country.
Ironton will have to get them off of the field fast and score fast. Also will be great if the crowd makes it hostile.

They are 3-1 and play Massillon Washington and St Edwards after Ironton. They also play St Ignatius their last game of the season.
