Offensively gonna need some balance of run & pass this week. Not sold that burg has that consistently enough. I think they are gonna fall behind the chains a LOT in this one.

Probably a good idea. My guess is Burgs will start out with some moderate success in the running game and then start throwing the ball all over the field. That will end any chance they might have being competitive in the game. Then on to the next.
I know, I was D1 fellas

will call it a win if there aren't 3-4 more players added to the street cloths gang on the sideline in week 7

Intriguing to see harvest prep this year bc I’m sure we see them vs another se Ohio team this year in November

"Yep 2 assembled allstar teams going head to head"...kinda like this week - the Columbus All-stars vs the Scioto County All-stars (kids from Minford, Portsmouth, South Webster, etc).

Except the scioto co all stars were not developed well at the program they assembled in in comparison to other "all star" programs.

I watched the Blazer /HP game & AshLand got Prep a bit off balance B4 the delay & leading.Valenth wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 6:34 pm When Ashland played them they got out to a 10-0 Lead. However, Lightning delays and storms led to an extensive delay but the game was finished with Prep scoring 26 unanswered. (And Ashland has a pretty darn good team this year.) If you want to compete with Harvest Prep... Get out to a lead and don't look back. Because Prep can score FAST and QUICK.
I also went back & rewatched it & BOY OH BOY HP is big & FAST to the ball on D.
Blazer QB was barely able to hand off the rock to his backs without pressure on him very VERY VERY FAST & often after that delay.
I hope BURG does well & gives them all they want. Stays healthy & continues to win.
Not my nature to be a hater. Always rooting for SEO teams to excel & REPRESENT.

I think it will be closer than people think. If I was burg I would take notes because there’s a good chance these 2 will meet in week 11 or beyond.

Not judging this one from a win/loss standpoint for Burg. I’m interested to see if Burg actually competes as opposed to whatever that was we witnessed last season in playoff loss to HP.*

Haven’t been able to find a streaming link yet. Local radio didn’t have them listed on the games they were covering tonight either.

Will this game be played and will others be cancelled?
Re: Wk6: (2-3) Wheelersburg @ (4-1) Harvest Prep
Best of luck Burg! A lot of Burg haters on this site. Looked to see where the game is going to be and all I see is bashing. I highly doubt the coach or his staff really care about the negative opinions. Last time I checked Coach W was the last coach from SE Ohio to win a state title, in the same division at Ironton too. Talk all the crap you want about Burg but the hardware don’t lie and nobody remembers or cares who got runner up.
Re: Wk6: (2-3) Wheelersburg @ (4-1) Harvest Prep
I wouldnt call Burg the scioto county all stars 99% of the kids that go to to Burg that live outside of porter township have been going to school there since kindergarten. Burg hardly ever gets transfers while they are in high school maybe every few years we might get a kid that wants to come play at BurgJawnjkang98 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 2:31 pmExcept the scioto co all stars were not developed well at the program they assembled in in comparison to other "all star" programs.

Pure class from one of the more knowledgeable posters on here. I like to poke fun at Ironton a lot, calling them the fighting transfers and whatnot, but the saying is true. Build it, and they will come. Kids wouldn't go to Ironton if they were still sucking like they were in 2016 and 2017. Say what you will, but they've built a monster down there and it's pretty impressive, no matter how you look at it.Tjhtygeverve wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 4:16 pmI watched the Blazer /HP game & AshLand got Prep a bit off balance B4 the delay & leading.Valenth wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2024 6:34 pm When Ashland played them they got out to a 10-0 Lead.
