Re: Twin State League
Confused. If he transferred into the district but doesnt attend school how did Warren "block" him from playing sports. Looks like he could have suited up for Warren. I think the transfer rules are put out by the OHSAA but it has been awhile since I even looked at those.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 8:14 amYea I heard he transferred for non sports reasons. 1. Neither Warren nor Belpre offer the same academic/school opportunity as Marietta does in his case. 2. OHSAA has no role in this particular situation.Feedme#2WarrenFB wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 9:35 am Was at Belpre and living in Warren school district kinda confused why he chose Marietta and a longer drive for his senior year ..

Warren had the chance to sign off on it and would not.

Re: Twin State League
Why would Warren sign off for a kid to play sports and have to play against him. It’s all about sports at Warren. They could care less about a transfer who didn’t transfer to their school. I’m sure Belpre would love to have their PG back?EasternDspy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 10:20 amFiled an emergency junctionjustpassinthru wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 9:15 amConfused. OHSAA has no authority under the program that Bass pursued. I don’t think you get it. Something happened and it was bigger than school or sports. The kid just wants to play. Warren chose not to sign off on him.
It’s my understanding that he didn’t transfer for sports.

Kids these days think the grass is greener on the other side and they’ll go D1 at a bigger school. It’s southeast Ohio. Going D1 is more rare than a hurricane in Canada.Feedme#2WarrenFB wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 12:47 pm He should’ve stayed at Belpre it’s his senior year smh

Re: Twin State League
It’s not always about D-I. Alex Kendall landed in a great spot at Univ. of Findlay. Coaches can help get a kid a D-II scholarship or even D-III opportunity, but sometimes it takes extra work and connections with those colleges.Notsofastmyfriend wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 2:37 pmKids these days think the grass is greener on the other side and they’ll go D1 at a bigger school. Re: Twin State League
If he didn’t transfer for sports then why is OHSSA limiting his playing time? Rules are only rules if you get caught. He tried to do things the right way and got punished. Warren had players living with friends last year and nobody even knew. Because they didn’t tell anyone. It’s a shame Bass can’t play because of some greedy administrators who got butt hurt because he made a personal decision to better himself.EasternDspy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 1:02 pmjustpassinthru wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 12:56 pmSouthEast Hoops Fan wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 10:12 am
