Any weather related issues affecting games "being played or moved to Saturday" ?

Post by pfloyd »

Mother Nature will have a say in the outcome of games for Friday Night Football - rain/some heavy ... high winds ... flooding possible of roads ... Any schools looking at changes in Friday night's menu of games due to the forecasted weather ? ... obviously games being played in whatever weather is out there will be affected - brings the turnover stat into play, makes running the ball a premium , limits throwing the ball ... in the end it will probably screwup this weeks "game picks" for me LOL ...

Move games NOW TO SAT IF ABLE.

May make IRON/CANADA GAME an issue.

Today was my day off. When we have cane weather at Disney, it makes people here, from out of state:

1. CRAZY
2. EXTEND A DAY UNTIL FLIGHTS ARE RESCHEDUKLED.
3. ALSO- BRINGS FL RESIDENTS IN PATH OF CANE TO WDW, because they know there will be electric, food, & safety, even if parks close, they can find stuff to do.

September is lowest attendance month too, so its ez to get a room & you can snatch them cheap if you are a FL RESIDENT & people come here for just that reasoon.

On Wednesday, we were Packed in Restaurant i work & i had great guests, 1/2 were either arriving from Hurricane Helenes’ possible paths, guests extending stay until tomorrow, to avoid being stuck at airports, & other 1/2 already booked guests here.

Anyway, i slept thru Helene’s bands that swept thru here early afternoon, as i used first of 6 (call off free with NO Penalty) paid day our union helped negotiate new this contract.

So far, just a few 30-4Omph gusts, from 3-8 pm which i was awake for & was outside grilling on propane cane stock foods we prepped up on & had a beer or 4.

Was ready, with generator & propane & foods in case, but thank The Good lORD it was avoided & praying for those in its path. Wherever she hits land it will be pretty bad i fear, BUT- I hope im wrong.

Im thinking The Tri-State will get some Helene rain & wind & redo’s for sat should be worked on STAT!!!

Stay safe ALL!!!

... Haven't read any postponements so I'm assuming all is right in the world of high school gridiron action tonight ... might be some upsets tonight depending on who matches up with the rainy conditions, who has the better running attacks, who keeps the TOs to a minimum ... Football Friday Night ...
