Fort should have been up 2-3 TDS before those guys even went out though.

Cadets had 3 fumbles gave Caldwell the opening TD.

Fort loses 3 of its best players including both MLBs. Caldwell running essentially up the middle every play.

All those players quitting really hurt the Cadets.

If Miller , Bradford and Wheeler don’t get hurt Cadets win.

You have to find a way to win when it matters though.

This loss isn’t the end of the year.

Just got to get healthy.

Should have 4 starters back soon. Hopefully the concussions aren’t to bad.
You say all those players quitting really hurts! Who quit? And as for the concussions, every concussion is bad.

Came for the excuses. Wasn't disappointed

I get it man, losing is hard when you are so used to winning every week. All you can do is move on and prepare for next week.

Was able to watch the first half finally and Fort did not look like the normal well disciplined Fort that they usually are. Penalties, botched handoffs, etc. Gotta give Caldwell some credit. When Fort would make a big play or score, Caldwell always seemed to have an answer (kick return TD, TD pass after a botched snap had Caldwell 2nd n goal at the 15). Injuries obviously hurt them as they would any small school. I think Fort should have worked in that FB dive a little more. Bradford had a couple nice big gains off of it and even when he went out the sub had a big gain as well. Would like to see the stats from this game if anyone has them

Also let’s not act like this was some miracle comeback just because Fort had a couple players go out with injuries. This was a tight game the whole time.

Fort would 100% won if those players weren’t out. Wasn’t just a few players. It was Clayton Miller and both starting mlbs. Those 3 of Forts best guys. Cadets had some huge mistakes and bad penalties.

Congrats on the big win. Caldwell has grit and toughness.

BRADFORD played 1 snap in the second half other than punts. Springer was the FB playing. I agree they should have gave him more touches. Cadets lost Blake Wheeler also who is the teams best pulling guard. Well Dayne Miller was out as well but he’s been out since Morgan preview.

Was driving thru Monroe County and heard this one in final minutes on radio. What an exciting game. Never thought Caldwell had a chance if you compare scores, but shame on me for that.

I know who it was. Still doesn’t change the fact it was a close game the entire time, including when they were all playing. Saying Fort would 100% win is pure speculation. I don’t fault you for pulling for your team though. Hope the injuries aren’t too bad and Fort has a solid rest of the season.

All you need is 1 time. Speculate all you want but when you have 24 healthy guys and you lose 3 of your best guys that play both ways yea it’s going to be hard to win. Yes it was 27 to 20 but Caldwell scored on a bad handoff gimmie TD and Kick return. You need all 3 backs when you run the wing T. You take away 2 of them you’ll probably struggle. Clayton already had 2 tds and avgs 14 yards a carry. Fort scored zero points in second half. You honestly think they would have got shut out? Better team lost but Caldwell was better tonight and that’s all that matters.

Remind me again who fumbled to give Caldwell that opening TD? Yeah Miller had two TD’s, also fumbled twice. Pretty sure Bradford fumbled once as well but Fort was able to recover that one. Caldwell doesn’t have the injury problems FF had but they’re not exactly healthy either. Herlans playing wideout and looks like he can hardly move. Who’s to say if Miller doesn’t go out that he doesn’t fumble again? Goes back to my previous point. Fort did not look like the Fort most are accustomed too. Fort is more than likely the better team, but to say that Fort would “100% win” is asinine.

Always a chance they will meet again.
With Fort Frye, Caldwell, and Waterford all in the same region, good possibility someone gets a chance for revenge.

Caldwell is playing without starting WR/DB Issac Cool (collarbone) starting WR/DB Brady Mazgay (transfer) Herlan playing with torn acl, freshman DB who started torn acl starting lineman serdy been out a month and two senior starters quit before last weeks game. They also wheeled starting LB/RB Moore out in the squad last night in the first half.

Fort has some very good players but what i watched last night is not a normal fort team. i’d say they lose to marietta, warren this year. they have small numbers. probably the weakest fort team i’ve seen in ten years

Congrats on winning through fruition.

It was 264 to 98 in yards in the first half. Fort shot thrmselves in the foot and lost its stud to a concussion. Small teams just can’t survive that. The jv players that went in tried but they mad mistake after mistake. If Tyce , Bradford and Miller all played the second half Fort might of ran for 400. Like I said Caldwell was the best team tonight. Found a way to get the big points win to get them in the playoffs at 5-5. Good chance these to teams will rematch.

they’re starters, people in Caldwell know who they are. aside from miller nobody outside of fort knows anyone you’re talking about. I appreciate your unwavering support of the cadets, all fans should love their team like that but at the end of the day this is not a normal fort team.
