I'll take the Tigers to rebound with a convincing win over Pikeville.

I’m pumping the brakes on an Ironton convincing win. Pikeville just beat a big George rogers Clark team. Who’s a really good Kentucky football team who has a big school. I have Ironton winning still but I think it will take them awhile

Turnovers and penalties. Take care of business and they will be fine. Last night a horse collar tackle on 4th down extended the drive for Clarkson and they scored a few plays later. Cost Ironton big time.

Shut up about the horse Collar tackle. It happens. That’s not a penalty that you can really avoid. Unless you have 3 or 4 a game that’s not a coaching mistake lol

I'm going to go with no not the worst team. Other than Raceland, Pikeville has play schools 3 to 4 times thier size that are all I'm the the 5 t0 10 in thier divisions. I do not think Pikeville will win. But they are not the worst team. They are still ranked 2nd in the state in their division and probably very high up on the list to win another state championship even with the losses they have had this year. Although not the size or talent they just played they will have a big line. Probably averaging 6-3 to 6-4, 260 to 280 or so. Like I said still look for Ironton to win this one buy don't overlook them thinking they can't play football.

I really like what Ironton did with their schedule this year.

You play a NY State Ranked school who’s athletic.
You play a super disciplined private Columbus school who predominantly runs the football.
You play a really huge, athletic, well-coached Clarkson North Canadian team.
Now you go down to Pikeville which is a long drive to play in a unique environment against a team that’s won 7 State Championships and has over 750 wins in their program history.

Win or loss against Pikeville, this is all for preparation for the postseason.

Will you say the same thing when it costs them a playoff game.

It did cost them in that game, but you’re completely ignoring that Ironton has cut down on penalties tremendously this year. Went from 3-5 a quarter to each game. They have been working on it, penalties will still happen.

I wouldn’t see this as a lock, don’t sleep on them, but I don’t think it will be close at the end either. Tigers by 20+
