I get information "at times" that I won't post until AFTER it's been broken by either the source, a coach, printed in the paper/online or hardcopy ... in my mind there is "no race" to put something out there - I would rather confirm something after the fact vs putting it out there for the sake of " putting it out there" ... I don't want anyone - coaches/parents/players/posters - to think that anything they talk to me about is going to end up on SEOPs or a social media site - I don't roll that way ... the trust of players/parents/coaches/posters/fans is valued by me - I want it to stay that way ...

Thats how it should be. And if anybody breaks a story they should begin it by citing their source by name

Point being. 99.999% of the "i heards" in southern ohio is due to ineptitude where these small town people get a fragment of info and then exaggerate it, or, its done purposefully to create rumor and argument.

Being an Ironton fan ya know why i question all of the "i heards" in southern ohio?

Every week on ironton footballs fb page they will post that "tickets are on sale...buy em in office at school...online or at gate" in big bold black and white and right underneath that post people will then comment over and over and over... "can u buy tickets at the gate?" Lmao. So its either that southern ohians are dumb as rocks ( mostly are sadly) or southern ohio is dumb as a rock?

Another good example. Weekly irontons football page will post "game will be on fox sports i heart radio and mytown tv" and right under the post in the comments over and over and over ad nasuem will be comments asking.. "will this game be streamed?" Lmao

Mind blowing the amount of stupid lies posted about Ironton on here is comical. Also funny to think that hating on one of the premiere programs in the state right here in the area makes you and your program look better. Instead of trying to be more like Ironton who is doing it the right way let’s complain they recruit instead of acknowledging the level of work they put in and the culture they have built.

First, details and sources don’t matter on this site. I have given specifics about where info came from, as has others, but we are just called “liars.” So let’s not pretend sources matter.

Second, if jobs are at risk or sharing on this site would be a problem for an individual, I definitely will not give the source, and often won’t even share on this site. Will just wait until it comes out. An example of this is the Burg-Ironton game for next year.

Third, I don’t text what kids share, especially kids from other teams. Never put the kid in a bad spot.

There is BS shared on this site, and there is truth shared as well. But people are going to believe what they want to believe regardless of the truth and facts. Video evidence wouldn’t change their minds.
