WK 7: Piketon (3-3) vs. Paint Valley (6-0)
Hearing that Piketon is bigger and better in the trenches… but PV is deeper everywhere else on both sides of the ball. I’ve seen PV a few times this year… LOADED! Piketon had a lot of hype coming into this season… but not sure they have enough to keep this one close.

I haven’t seen Piketon play this year… but I have watched Paint Valley and the three headed monster of Robertson, Free and Fauber are not the only weapons PV have - even if you stop them (can’t stop Robertson), they got player makers all over the field. That being said, their defense is what has made the Bearcats even better than I think most expected around here. Piketon always has dudes though and is extremely well coached. We shall see looking forward to this one.Rolltanks wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 8:07 amIdk if they have any haven’t seen pv yet this year, I was impressed by piketon rushing attack and line play.

Got my first look at PV Saturday, and yes #12 and #4 are very good players. But like Pop said, there are a few more guys capable of making big plays. The OL was pretty good with decent size and have a nice pulling guard (#50 I think). If Piketon has a bigger and better OL than PV like someone said above then something tells me that they would be sitting better than 3-3 right now. I believe that Unioto is the only SVC team capable of beating PV from what I have witnessed. Don't know if coaches read these comments or not but if so here is a request for coach Dye, let #12 loose on KO's, strong leg and got one 7 yds deep in the EZ. Don't understand the pop ups and squib kicks, put some faith in the kick coverage, this is a weapon that most teams would love to have.

I guess there's always a chance that the Red Streaks might catch the Bearcat's already looking ahead to a possible undefeated season, plus the Playoffs, but I doubt that will be the situation. I do think that it very well could be a very good ballgame. Until someone shows it on the field, I'll still go with PV with the victory. Let's really hope for an injury free game for both teams.

PV just has a very seasoned team across the board and they don't really have any 1 area of weakness. They play solid defense, I look for PV to take this one by 3 tds at the bare minimum

This game is getting streamed live on the Ride The Wave YouTube channel tonight.

Piketon 13 PV 12
PV with a missed FG, failed 4th down conversion and muffed punt to end the game. Piketon dominated them up front

Piketon just beat us up in the trenches tonight and we had no answers. Very disappointing with all this talent…this should be a 10-0 team.
