Nice half of football by the Indians. Let's close it out.

Not sure I understand what's going but just my opinion is that West took Valley lightly in preparation this week and for some reason decided to work on a passing game. We look soft and slow.

I want to see the passing game succeed but it's wasnt necessary tonight when you have Parker, Bishop and Adkins behind a line that got tremendous push all night. Nice adjustment at the half. Only pass I can remember 2nd half was a 2pt conversion

Valley ran out of gas but still should have won the game. A lot of missed tackles 2nd half

Tons of missed tackles and a few costly penalties. West started running off tackle with great success.

Man the tackling killed Valley on the last drive. That team has lost two key members of its defense and they keep fighting. Just a heartbreaking loss. Valley did so much right, they just didn’t tackle on the final drive.

Im glad I didn't go this week and went to Portsmouth instead. Now cue the rhetoric of Great coaches Great play calls Great adjustment we are small school stay the course t blah blah blah. A buddy did say the kids played hard which is great.
They will get their 2nd win next week and should be Minford
Will they back into the playoffs?

Sounds like you need to throw your name in the ring buddy. This team is only playing 3 or 4 seniors and have battled each week. They have completely replaced their offensive skills spots and are missing two of their top players. So step up or keep pounding that keyboard.

Man my heart hurts for Valley on that one. I’ll always root for the orange and black but I can only imagine being in the other bleachers. Valley lead every bit of that game besides the last 50 seconds.

I think West may have overlooked this opponent a little bit. Sloooww start to the game but man do they know how to turn it on. They seem to just get better right at the point you think the game is about to slip away. I was glad they tried to open up the bag some but Parker and Bishop are the milk cows. When it’s crunch time, give it to em and get out the way. I think they will come out a little stronger next week. But you cannot count the Mohawks out. I actually think Burg stands alone right now at the top with West barely above Waverly, Valley and Northwest. But any of those teams could beat each other on a given night. Keep your heads up Valley y’all played hard. I think just got wore down in the 4th.

Absolute heartbreaker for Valley. Their kids play their butts off every week and have gotten so much better this season from last year. It just hasn’t shown up for them in the win column. Like woby said, feels like they are still a year away as this is a young team. But looking at Pasteur, if they beat OH and Minford like they should, a win over Grandview Heights gets them in playoffs comfortably. Essentially, playoffs begin this week for Valley!

Also, watch the replay on YouTube and point out where Coach Crabtree could have done anything different last night. Valley’s staff put their kids in position to win this game and things just didn’t go their way last 5 minutes. The coaches can’t go out there and tackle for the kids.

As for West, those boys just gut out wins every week. I don’t think they are as talented as the West teams from last few years, but they are tough and led by a solid group of seniors. Neither Woods or Parker are close to 100% healthy, but they play the whole game and make plays down the stretch to get another close win. Can’t see them beating Burg, but see them going deep in D6 playoffs.*

You’d be hard pressed to find a better 1-6 team than Valley. Wow.

Man oh man, valley with another tough loss, this one probably more heart breaking than some of the others. Looking at this team and saying they're 1-6 doesn't tell the story at all these guys have made tremendous strides this season. They had the ball inside the 20 down 3 to Portsmouth with less than a minute to go and fell short, Waverly I believe they were inside the 10 down 6 with very little time on the clock to fall short, now this game. That's losing 3 really close games they had a chance to pull out the W in the end on just wasn't meant to be yet.
