Battle tested by a team who has won one game out of six. The self proclaimed best small school had trouble with a small Kentucky school.

I’m just glad Ironton went back to being an independent again. It’s nice seeing all these different schools coming around again. Can’t get tough playing OVC!! Just think how boring that would be after watching this year

They are equivalent to a Division 6 school in Ohio according to Joe Eitel.
They are a really good program, but not at the level of ML or Kirtland. Pikeville would be an average MAC school.
No they would not stop.
Pikeville is a better team than the record shows they play outside their size in scheduling.
Quit discounting Ironton's opponents Pikeville played a great game even better than thought they would.
maybe Ironton had a off night but they was challenged and won and they needed that.

That’s a good win for Ironton. Those are the type of teams Ironton will play for a regional and beyond. Ironton fans have to temper their expectations and emotions. They are one of the favorites to win d 5. But Pikeville was big and slow. But strong and physical

You’ve lost to every good team you’ve played , does beating Oak Hill make you feel better now ? Luckily you’re in the W.E.A.K. Conference, go away.

Wonder if Ironton will get Raceland on the schedule? Pikeville and Raceland have been pretty good ball games in recent years. Ironton and Raceland are arguably the best two programs in the area. Could be a good match up in the near future.

Good win, Ironton. Pikeville is obviously way better than their record indicates.

Burg is getting better. They will be no pushovers in region. Maybe not a contender but they will be a possible pest

We are talking about Ironton and Pikeville. Why do you you always have to try to change the topic or team?? You should feel proud barely beating a 1-5 school and your next 3 weeks are against OVC schools. If you don’t want to be in their conference, why did you keep these 3 on the schedule?

Why do you care who Ironton plays? You just come to make a negative comment. Congrats on beating Oak Hill 😂

I know exactly what I am talking about… a 1-5 team played 3 1/2 quarters with your beloved team. What happens when you run into a Columbus Academy, Versailles, Liberty Center, or South Range team. We will just hear excuses just like we always do since 1989.

I love your passion, but I don’t see Burg doing much in the playoffs.

100% agree.

Also, every D5 contender will be watching this game film.

I’ve seen a bunch of burg teams. This team is not near one of the worst. I’m not saying this because they beat oak hill. I’m talking strictly about execution. The last three games they have executed much much better.

Pikeville was 2-4 after a big win last Saturday over 6A George Rogers Clark. That said, Pikeville is better than advertised and at this point, Ironton has plenty of room for improvement.

“No they would not stop”. Would not stop what?

Middle of the road MAC schools are really good; didn’t say they were middle of the SOC or OVC.

But just not the cream of the crop.

They just just got out of the league last year for this year. I think they did a great job filling up what they did in short notice. Portsmouth played them for 125 years so that’s every year! As time goes u won’t see OVC on their schedule unless they want a breather game.
