Notre Dame @ Eastern Beaver

Post by BasketballFan22 »

Since I never see a thread for the Eagle boys. What are the thoughts on this matchup? Are they going to have another nail biting game this year?

Should the 9th best team in d7 have a nail biter with a 3 win team (they will beat green) with less than 20 kids?

ND is not good this year. Why would this game be as tight as last year? What?

ND is very young with low numbers so they have struggled. Appears 2 win FC must be in the same boat - that is, not good this year.

Maybe next year will be better for both.
Eastern really good.

ND seems to step up when playing Eastern as this has sort of turned into a bit of a rivalry game for the 2, Eastern just has a lot of talent across the board. 4 different players with TD catches against SV in a game that I seen was 21-20 SV at the half to see Eastern pull away 53-29. Eastern should take this one by 28 if they can keep their heads straight as they work their way to the big show down vs South Gallia the week after.

Right.

My comment’s spirit is less “quality of ND” and more “if Eastern is a worthwhile playoff team, this shouldn’t be close.”

FWIW, I don’t personally care one way or another on ND/FC this year.

Agree. Thanks for your clarification. Good that you don't care either. That makes things easier . Lol!

I remember when PND was recruiting my boy. That Churchill guy or whatever his name was that coached at Eastern was there I think.

It’s a question to start a conversation…

Beaver will win this easy. They are a small school playing with a-lot of kids from Waverly. Prob nice playing for coaching staff that encourage kids instead of running them down all the time.

Oh dang, pop shot at the Waverly staff here. Didn't realize Eastern had a lot of Waverly kids though. I will say I've seen my fair share of Waverly games over the years and well let's just say when I sit in the stands and hear a coach acting like an idiot towards 15-18 year olds during a game I couldn't help but to wonder how things were handled at practice pretty obvious no one is worried about stopping it since the coach is still there.

Correct me if I am wrong , but I think Eastern only has 3 kids that transferred from Waverly, and 1 of those is not even playing yet.

I think you’re right. People like to post things without factual knowledge.

There are 4 kids who transferred from Waverly. One isn’t eligible to play, so he isn’t. The other 3 are eligible per the OHSAA, so they are playing.

Eastern 42-14. SG should be a good game but other than that game, they have only played 1 team with a winning record. Every team besides Miller has 1 or 2 wins. Not sold on Eastern yet.

Watch them play. Depending on how good your eye for football is, it’ll inform better.

I second this.
