6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
Usually a pretty good game. Thoughts? This should be for 2nd place

No, it shouldn’t be for second place. But unfortunately it is. Portsmouth wins

Rebound is a word that I shouldn't have to be using in my prediction, I'll still take the Trojans with the win over the Redmen.
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
1 of 2 things are going to happen here imo. The Trojans are going to come out pissed off and hang 50 on Rock Hill or they’ll come out with that emotional defeat still in their minds and this will be a close game.

Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
Rock hill is a good football team. Not a rock hill of the past. The new coach has brought some excitement and they believe in themselves. But Portsmouth should win. I’ve seen both play and Portsmouth is the favorite
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
Portsmouth is going to come out with a huge chip on their shoulders. I dont sense a let down at all. I think it is quite the opposite because they know they were robbed

Having seen both of these teams play, I will take the Trojans by as wide a margin as they want.

Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
Rock Hill is having a really good year, but I think Portsmouth will be too much
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
You can only play who is in front of you but for Rock Hill that record is truly inflated for sure, Portsmouth by 22 if they don't come out flat after last weeks heartbreaker.
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
Was they robbed when they gave the fumble back to them with one minute left or robbed when they ran on the field at the end I know it's a tough pill swallow but it was the right call
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
Wrong again, sideline warning is not a replay of down point blank

Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
Once again I see someone saying that letting a team pick up an incomplete pass and continue the play was "the right call"
What a joke
What a joke
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
*Were.
Were they robbed when Logan Adkins was called for a pass interference AFTER he caught the ball? No flag in site until he was heading back to his huddle, the ref then runs to the spot and throws a flag and calls an offensive pass interference. Or after Heiland returns a punt to Fairlands 20 AND Fairland gets called for a personal foul, all of a sudden there’s two flags & one was an illegal block on Portsmouth to “offset” each other. Or how about the calling off of yet another intentional grounding that led to a Fairland TD because they didn’t lose a down. Portsmouth was robbed when the back official blew his whistle, but didn't signal that the INCOMPLETE shovel pass that hit the receivers back fell to the ground and the other officials allowed play to resume. And according to OHSAA, sideline infractions are not a replay of down, AND once time has expired, sideline infractions CANNOT be penalized. So what right call was made? Robbed those young men, even huddled up for a lifetime and decided to forward with the robbery. The RIGHT call would have been to run to the excited teenagers, who by the way made it less than a yard onto the field and then backed up, and tell them to stay back until he (the official) gets a definitive signal from his superior that the play was dead. Shameful, that the officials will be the heros of that game, as opposed to the coaches & young men who executed their coaches 2nd half game plans for a win. Shameful.
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
So, you are justifying the call because of the fumble. Makeup call?? It was a horrible call, at that point in the game.

Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
This is another wake-up call for the Redmen, they lost big to the only good team they’ve played.
Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
n Ohio high school football, a sideline
warning cannot be issued after time has
expired because "the focus of sideline
management is to ensure a safe and
organized environment during the active
phases of the game" (0hio High School
Athletic Association, n.d.). This is
particularly relevant during the last play
of the game. If a team is penalized for
sideline conduct during the final play, any
potential warnings would need to be
addressed before the expiration of the
game clock. Once time has run out, the
play is considered dead, and officials
cannot issue warnings or penalties
related to sideline behavior.

Re: 6-1 Rock Hill @ 5-2 Portsmouth
I know Rock Hill is much improved this season, but they aren’t on the same level as Portsmouth. Their only loss was to Fairland 49-14. Portsmouth just “lost”** to Fairland 22-21. No reason the Trojans don’t win by 4-5 TD’s.
