I'm not sure why you think you're the only one with this knowledge about Marietta's schedule. It doesn't take a genius to pull up the Joe Eitel page and see the records for the teams we've beaten are not good. Also, not sure what you get out of making these kinds of posts disparaging programs that have been down for decades.

I'd say when you haven't had a winning season in 22 years, it is a smart decision to schedule competitive, winnable games and that's exactly what we've done. This isn't the NFL, these are high school kids.

I said in the TSL thread that I thought the league was Fort Frye's to lose, but I know Marietta is going to show up ready to go after last night's let down. Give me MHS by a TD.
It’s what he is. He’ll tell all about how bad someone is but never, ever give credit. He’ll tell other people to chill out but he doesn’t chill when he’s putting down high school kids and programs. I’m sure his background is rooted in an illustrious program that wins playoff games year in and year out, so he certainly knows what it takes. I’m sure he’ll have a smart remark to this post, but I really don’t care. It’s beyond tired. I’m on your side when it comes to this.
Since you’re good at point spreads. Give us the point spread on Warren vs Marietta. Enquiring minds need to know for betting purposes. And about putting schools and kids down. You’re the one saying Warren had “bad personnel” playing D line a few weeks ago. Might review your posts before pointing fingers.
If you think you’re the good guy buddy, you are truly hopeless. We could do a case study on your posts. You belittled the coach’s son last fall, said players would transfer with no basis, and the list goes on. You also said FF would go 0-3 vs WV teams this year, and now you’re bashing Marietta for no apparent reason. Why don’t you go root for Williamstown or Belpre? They are the only two teams you seem to have a good thing to say about. Just interesting.

Early in Huck era he did the same thing. Scheduled weaker teams made playoffs got blown out. What it did was get the school more excited for football. More kids went out for the team. The players thrived to get better by getting in the weight room.

Not good enough for Notsofast. People don’t care about the playoffs as much as they care about win total when you’re a Warren or Marietta. 8 wins and a league title is a step in the right direction for either program. Average fans don’t care about the details of how they got there.

I'll speak for Marietta only on this one, but Warren is definitely pretty much in the same situation. The goal should be win the TSL and make the playoffs. There's no schedule in the world that is going to prepare MHS for a playoff win over Steubenville, Watterson, or really almost every other playoff team in region 11. The absolute best case scenario is drawing an Athens team that already handled us.

If you do put together a schedule to prepare us for region 11 playoff football, we aren't making the playoffs anyway. Our schedule this year is made up of a lot of similar type programs and we have won the majority of them. That's progress and something to be proud of. Even with the disappointing loss last night, still a lot to play for. 8 wins and a TSL championship would be huge for our program, same with Warren.

I’d say Warren +3.5.

Cadets don’t have many Srs but the ones they do have are very good.

Maddox Huck has been great on defense. He’s the most improved player by a mile.

Great lineman Nicholson and Braxton Ross

Do all stud Clayton Miller

Dakota Snodgrass coming of some bad knee injuries has slowly been getting back.

Tyler Howard was going to play some wing but he tore his acl.

Fort Frye just reloads every year. They are consistently head and shoulders above everyone else in the area because they’re not afraid to play up in competition. Most if not all other teams just want to play teams they think they can beat. The only thing concerning about them is that they seem to have several key players injured year after year.

So then what was the problem this year at Fort Frye with small roster size? What is the biggest roster Fort Frye has had in recent years?

Has Fort Frye been getting more kids out or now they are getting the better athletes out?

Numbers have generally been around 35-40

This year 20 kids quit grades 8-12

Not really sure what the problem is.

One of the teams best lineman Dayne Miller hurt his shoulder or collarbone and has been out since the jamboree. He’s been a huge loss.

Losing Thompkins and Garvin 2 players that quit was huge lose to the depth of the team.

Bradford only played LB last week not FB.

Hoping the kids get back and stay healthy the rest of the season. Looking forward to another exciting run.

I am sure the staff will figure out what needs fixed if anything to get kids back out.

Seth Britton having a great season 1041 yards on 177 carries and 10 tds. Crazy to think he has 105 more carries than Miller. Miller at 938 on only 72 carries with 14 Tds.

Great game for two local communities to take in. This is what high school football is all about. That being said, I'll take the Cadets in this one, but by a whisker!

After watching Marietta in person last week they definitely have what it takes to get the W this year but I will reserve a final prediction.
