Valley (1-6) @ Oak Hill (1-6)

Post by Injuneer »

I will take the best 1-6 team in the state, Valley, to win fairly easily. They may come out sluggish from the drive but think this is a running clock by the 4th. Besides Burg and Piketon (they just didn't show up that game), they could have won the rest of those games. They just have not learned how to close out any games. I think the beginning of the season, they shot themselves in the foot by having so many penalties. Now, they are hurting themselves by not being able to wrap up and tackle when the game is on the line. The bright side is that the offense seems a little more balanced. Not sure what has changed (in a good way) with the passing game. Maybe that is in part to Waughtel being more comfortable back there with some experience.

Looking at projections, if they can win these last three, they still have a high probability to have a home playoff game.

Definitely taking valley in this one. Winning out it has them in an matchup with rock hill come week 11 via fantastic 50. I think that is a game valley can win

Valley needs to win out for a real shot at playoffs. They know this and are not going to be nonchalant about it. A fully locked in Valley team wins by 30+. BTA

Listening to the coaches show Saturday and it sounds like the balance in the offense has come from Waughtel getting more comfortable. He struggled against Piketon and Coal Grove but has been good since. Coach acted like it took a bit for him to transition from playing WR.

Valley should win this one but they can’t take OH lightly.

Hopefully it’s an injury free game.

Valley has been playing some good ball for most of the season and let multiple games just slip from their finger tips, look for them to take this one by 21

Playoffs start this week for Valley! They win out, they for sure in, and maybe even get a home game. One loss, and likely no playoffs. I guarantee there’s a lot of Region 24 teams hoping they don’t have to deal with Valley in playoffs as a low seed.

Haven’t followed Oak Hill much this season, but from Burg thread, sounds like their passing game not bad. I think Valley gets the win, but I also think Oak Hill hangs around for awhile. Valley wins 35-20.*

Valley should be decent favorites against GH, IMO.

Valley lost to GH last year 35-34 in OT. The Indians went 3-7 with wins over NW, OH, and Minford and snuck in. GH is 7-0, and went 7-3 last year, but the teams they play aren’t the highest rated if you will, but they’re still 7-0. The only team in our area they’ve played this year was Chesapeake and GH won 24-6.

I do think Valley can play with and beat them, but focus on OH first.

Indians could slide in again at 3-8, especially with NW going 5-5, but if they win out they’re for sure in.
