Week 9: Chesapeake @ Rock Hill

Post by OVC »

Thoughts?

I’m wondering how much the extra curricular activities from last weeks game will affect Chesapeake?

A scuffle during the game with Gallia that ended up with some ejections (allegedly- haven’t seen the film)

Rock Hill has actually been really solid against the run on defense this year it’s definitely a strength, granted they haven’t played many good teams but when they’ve been attacked it’s been primarily through the air. Portsmouth is just a different animal with how big and strong their line is then the thunder and lightning combo of Heiland and Williams running behind it is hard to stop.

Most teams will struggle with their running attack, they ran at will on Fairland as well.

I think the home field advantage will be enough for the Redmen to be able to get the win against the Panthers.

Good chance the winner of this one gets to host in W11 for the right to be the Coldwater sacrificial lamb.

I’ll go with Hill 27-14

Rock Hill by 3 touchdowns.
Chesapeake’s line looks like they are out of shape. I think longer game goes on the more points RH will put up against them. Might be a close first half but expect RH to pull out a decent win against Chesapeake.

Finally over
60-49
ROCK HILL

Before you decide to repeat a story, ask yourself three questions: 1) Is it true (Eph. 4:25)? 2) Is it kind (Eph. 4:32)? 3) Is it necessary (Eph. 4:29)? If not, please don't repeat it (Lev. 19:16; Prov. 11:13; 16:28; 17:9; 18:8; 1 Tim. 5:13).

Congrats to the Redmen on your win over the Panthers. I thought that you would win, but I didn't think that you would score 60 points.

Chesapeake needs bench their #75. That kid should have been ejected first half. Refs are going to end up causing an all out brawl for not tossing him. This is same kid that caused the issues at Gallipolis last week. What’s more embarrassing is the coaches are over there patting him on the back after he gets sent to sideline.

Yeah… there is something to be said about that. I didn’t realize #75 played this week until i saw some pictures. 75 got 2 personal fouls last week vs Gallia, one of which was for fighting and the other was a blindside that put a kid in the hospital. He should have been suspended after the Gallia game. Unless im missing something, he should have gotten a 2-game seating for fighting, and if not that, then a 1 game suspension for his 2 personal fouls. This is interesting

There’s no suspension unless the kid was ejected from the game, 2 personal fouls isn’t a suspension either. Sounds like a definite problem but unless there was an ejection nothing interesting outside of how the coaches handle things.

So, it sounds like the refs just didn’t eject him. They were atrocious, so it makes sense, but he should have been ejected.

Will Rock Hill need to have their scoreboard fixed before hosting a playoff game?
