Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
If Unioto wins they basically wrap up another gold ball. If PV wins then they’ll have a chance to be co champs. I think PV has the athletes but idk if their line will hold up against Unioto on both sides. Thoughts?

Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
SOSA will have it and traditionally, we’ve gotten a really good connection at Unioto, so fingers crossed for that.
Unioto is the favorite for a few reasons, but can’t give up the early field position that they gave ZT last night or PV will make them pay
For PV, they’ve gotta get on the same page, as there were some reports of that being an issue in the Piketon game. If they do that, they’ll have a chance for sure.
Unioto has ran the ball better the last few weeks and become much more balanced and did a nice job defensively against ZT besides two big plays. Robertson has the ability to hit a big play at any time and with the emergence of Cain, they now have two threats on the outside which will make it harder to contain Free.
Should be good weather and a good game.

No clue how bad or what it even was, but hearing that Robertson got banged up last week
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
An awful lot at stake in this game, not only the Gold Ball, but a lot of playoff points as well. Have not as yet decided which team I think will come away with the win, as both teams are capable of doing so. Maybe I'll just flip a coin?
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Not good…. without Robertson, Unioto can name the score. Robertson really does it all for PV. He never leaves the field.
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
I would be shocked if he doesn’t play, but if he isn’t 100% then we may have a shot at the upset

Unioto by 14, Paint Valley very predictable on the offensive side! Robertson right and Robertson left! Offensive line cannot pass block! Free does not get the opportunity against decent opponent, maybe they could utilize him with jet sweeps or quick pitches but they don’t! Paint Valley coach seems to choke with the big games!

Wow really I haven’t got to see them much everyone was sure they would take the league easy this year. Free is their all time leading receiver surely they give him the ballbucknuts09 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 2:04 pm Unioto by 14, Paint Valley very predictable on the offensive side! He was very irrelevant against Piketon, mainly because the offensive line couldn’t pass block anyone!Rolltanks wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 2:19 pmWow really I haven’t got to see them much everyone was sure they would take the league easy this year. Fantastic 50 has Unioto by 11. I think that may be too generous and this wouldn’t be an upset at all. Both team trending it two different directions

I just thought pv was a huge favorite to win the league, they have so many skill guys and transfers came in. Those point spreads can be way off had us beating Amanda by several tds.

We also saw Paint Valley lose to Piketon. No disrespect to them but if PV was going to be as good as advertised they would’ve handled them. I think Unioto takes this

Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
I don't think a Unioto win would be an upset, going into the season and even early on I think the SVC was and should've been PV's to lose. As the season has gone on they haven't beaten anyone and Piketon just smashed them in the mouth and they crumbled from within. As I see it right now the game is a complete tossup
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Paint Valley has good athletes but their line needs to show up. They couldn’t do anything against Piketon and Piketon dominated the trenches. James, Griffin and Jarvis have combined for 42.5 TFLs and 15.5 sacks. PV will need to slow them down to have any chance

If we don’t lose kb before the season think what it could of been….Tanks3232 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 11:06 am Paint Valley has good athletes but their line needs to show up. But let’s be honest beating up SVC schools does not prepare Unioto for the playoffs
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
I mean yeah we know this but idk why this is the narrative. Unioto has only won the SVC once this century.bucknuts09 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 12:52 pm But let’s be honest beating up SVC schools does not prepare Unioto for the playoffs

SEO is generally weak as a whole in football outside of the few powerhouses. Only chance we have of winning a playoff game is getting a team from this area and not the East
