First off congratulations to Northwest. You could see them improving throughout the season. The win is not unexpected.
As for Waverly, the loss is not the end of the world. Yet the Tigers obviously need to do some soul searching about the direction of the program.

Nope not a parent but way to deflect and I definitely don’t have twins on the team either. Alexander is a freshman who hasn’t proven anything and Nelson may or may not be there. That’s 2 young kids, nothing like having 3 proven seniors like are on the team now so you’re fooling yourself if you believe that. Also that was the QBs 2nd year starting last year and no way they’ve got a backup remotely close to playing like a 2nd year starter. The blame can definitely go all around as it’s not the coaches making tackles but it takes coaches making up game plans. Takes coaches that kids genuinely want to play for and they don’t want to play for Knight they’re over it. The community is tired of it. Look at the direction of the program it doesn’t take a novice fan to notice it.YouCantBeSerious wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 11:11 amThe sky is falling!!! Definitely not a parent, I think you are the one who seems to have a player involved as mush as you are ranting and raving. And I’d all but bet on the backup being the QB next year, he’d have two nice weapons in Nelson and Alexander on the outside. The backup won’t be any worse than the current QB was last year, not knocking on him but it took until his senior year to get truly comfortable, thankfully had Hurd go take some of the pressure off.greygoose wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 11:21 pmlol, I don’t believe this for a second you’ve got to be a parent. New QB unless they go a different direction isn’t a runner at all and struggled passing in mop up duty and JV last season. Now if the roll with Alexander at QB then he can run but we’ll see if he can pass. On the outside you’ll return 1 main playmaker so no again. Part that is true is that young line should improve but still no RB threat. Facts are facts sorry if you’re a parent but it’s a harsh reality Waverly will be a 4-5 win team at best, possibly 3-4.YouCantBeSerious wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2024 1:27 pm
I think they’ll be closer to more of a balanced attack next year, still favoring the passing game a little more than the running game. You’ll have a good QB who can pass and run. And honestly, their weapons on the outside will be solid considering what they are losing after this year. And I believe the O-line will be a little better next year than it has been this year, although they didn’t play bad last week. Big ? I think for next season on offense will be at RB
I think the blame can go around to a little bit of everyone, coaches and players. Coaches need to figure out how to address some of the major issues this team has and the players need to just make the plays. There were many times last night the players were there they just didn’t finish. Tough loss and makes everyone look in the mirror. But the sun still came up today, all is not lost.
