Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
I know Robertson definitely leads the league in carries by a lot, but he was also averaging 7.6 yards a carry through 6 weeks, which is nearly a full yard above any of the other mentioned runners on here.
He’s a major impact player and even with a higher usage than the others in the league, he should be the back of the year in the SVC. Although, Braden, Wilson, Johnson, and Stewart are very good as well.

Or coy he has better stats, but if he does get it then it would be nice if we could get some defensive awards because we always have the best def and never get rewarded.
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Unioto should have the Offensive and defensive lineman of the year
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
The ZT backs are having a good year, but Johnson has missed two league games with injuries which will hurt his stats.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 5:14 pm I know Robertson definitely leads the league in carries by a lot, but he was also averaging 7.6 yards a carry through 6 weeks, which is nearly a full yard above any of the other mentioned runners on here.

Of course you dont.
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Dang, just catching up here sounds like the PV implosion is continuing. Sounding like adversity hit PV straight in the face against Piketon and is continuing on this week and here next up they’ve got ZT. A team that most had as a virtual lock to win the SVC going to finish 4th in SVC play?? With that team, wow. Build a team around 1 player and fail to develop the others this is what happens, reality is PV hasn’t beaten anyone of substance the past 2 seasons now.

Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Same old paint valley. Idolizing one player. This has been the story of his tenure coaching at pv. He always has weapons but has the wrong players playing qb. He has had so many weapons the past 4 years but they never can throw. They want to run the ball for 500 yards against the bottom teams in the league and then they get exposed when they play a good team.
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Building around a single player is a bad idea but I don’t know people are acting like that team is loaded with talented players they just got a running clock out on them in a half in there biggest game
If they had a ton of takent, loosing one player wouldn’t make that big of a difference

Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Yeah I don’t understand the hype. Robertson is a great player. Free is a good receiver but really doesn’t do much against good teams. Fauber is an average QB and honestly Free threw a better ball than him when he went in. But with no line you aren’t going to beat decent teamsHamPorter wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 1:39 am Building around a single player is a bad idea but I don’t know people are acting like that team is loaded with talented players they just got a running clock out on them in a half in there biggest game

Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
This was going to be the team to get coach Dye his only SVC title, well, that ship has sailed. looking ahead to the next few seasons I see a lot of Ls, just not much talent coming up.
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
The year piketon won the league in 2021 pv had way more talent. But the difference was they got outcoached
Re: Week 9: (7-1) Paint Valley @ (7-1) Unioto
Exactly why the back up QB left so I've heard. If you didn't watch any scrimmage or JV games last year, the kid has an arm. He led the JV team undefeated going into final game again Unioto last year, only to lose because it's typical of PV play calling. He would have been a great QB if he was developed.Streak01 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 19, 2024 10:10 pm Same old paint valley. Idolizing one player. This has been the story of his tenure coaching at pv. He was completely left out of the equation when Dye brought in Fauber (family friend yet again). Fauber can't even lead a varsity team. Dye is too busy fulfilling the wants/needs of his buddies to see actual talent.

Bashing a kid on here who has played his last HS football game, who has nothing to do with or control over what his coaches do is asinine. Maybe PV didn’t have as much overall talent as some thought and the coaches relied on him to do it all - I think we all may agree that wasn’t healthy or wise but that is what they did. Right or wrong, I don’t for one minute believe they chose that route for any other reason than to win.

From reading the post on here, nobody is saying the kid isn't a good player.smurray wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 3:36 pm Bashing a kid on here who has played his last HS football game, who has nothing to do with or control over what his coaches do is asinine.
