Wk 10 Minford (1-8) @ Valley (2-7)

Post by CuckooNest »

Well Valley is certainly the favorite this week.

Crazy things have happened in this rivalry though. More than once I’ve thought Minford was clearly better and the Indians jumped up and beat them. Maybe Minford can return the favor this year.

Valley has a shot at the 15 or 16 seed if they win this game, and with an NW win over Oak Hill.

The prize? Playing @ the MACs Anna or Coldwater.

Valley wins this one

28-6

Season defining win for either team. Good one to build on during off season.

Crazy things have happened with this game over the years. I don’t think that’ll be the case this year, Vally by 21

With this being at minford and with both teams having no chance at playoffs I think this game will be a lot closer than people think and a upset wouldn’t surprise me

Man you’re wrong on both points. It’s at Valley and with a win Valley may be as high as a 14 seed depending on other games.

I know that people say records can be thrown out the window for this rivalry game! And while that has been true most years, I don't foresee any issues for the Indians with this game. Running clock by 4th quarter is my prediction. Last week, Valley didn't have an answer for that running back. No one wanted to tackle him. The bright side for Valley is that Waughtel has really gotten a ton better with the passing game and they had a receiver that I don't think has played that much step up and have a great game. Unfortunately Waughtel is a senior and they'll be in the same boat next year developing someone else at QB.

Agreed with what others have said above...Minford has a chance to end their season on a high note. They will come out playing hard just like Valley did against them last season. But Valley also gonna be fired up for this one and still has an outside chance at playoffs. Close for a half, but Valley wears them down in second half. Valley wins 31-7.*

I think Valley has gotten a bad rap this year, and been very unlucky. I know these things can go different ways, but they are 8 points from being second place in the league. I would bet with the injuries they have had, that most teams would have struggled just the same when losing two or three of their top players. If Valley is motivated tonight, I believe this is a blowout. Minford’s highest level of play doesn’t approach Valley’s. Tonight will be all about how bad Valley wants to play.
