Like I've said all year. If Ironton doesn't beat themselves they have the horses to make a very deep run. I saw a post that showed the final 4 bracketing as region 19 vs 20 and 17 vs 18. If that is true Ironton has a shot to make it back to Canton. Or some other region 19 team.

Anyone know if Scott is going to bring Krabby Patty’s for the winning team?

As long as you are in orange and black it's all the Krabby Patty's, and saucy nuggets you could want. NIL LOL. Marshall has Tudor's, Ironton just trying to keep up.

I'd say he sees the field some this week. He dressed last week but really no use to risk it against Gallia. He may be needed a bit more this week against Portsmouth run game.

Oh I can buy your ticket if needed. I know the Portsmouth economy is not the greatest right now... Im just leaving at halftime when the score is 35-0

I saw on IRON FOOTBALL FaceBook page for fans a few weeks back that he in fact did injure his hand & precautionary casts are on to help him heal & play:

“If Needed”.

The kid wants to play, BUT, i do believe the quality of skill the players have developed, brings a depth to IRON that have mot seen!

I think he will be held out & the other players will step up for their Fighting Tiger Brothers.
They are more than a team.
They are family.
Engaging in activities together, once preparation for each game is completed.

Definitely a trait developed by the coaches as players in college & now instilled early on in this program & it’s starting to show in the outcomes, sportsmanship, & discipline.

I think also that the penalties are slowly diminishing this year & is a direct reflection of the family atmosphere.

The slogans:

#Allin
Anyone, anytime, anywhere
Etc.

Are not just slogans anymore.
They were presented, have been worked on, & are coming to fruition.

With that said, This is still a HUGE RIVALRY, where anything can & will happen.

My hopes are for a cleanly played, coached, & well refereed game without injury.

Both squads will learn a lot about themselves tonight, & this will pay dividends in the playoffs.

If Portsmouth could throw the ball better, I could talk myself into this game potentially being competitive. But Ironton defense too good and I don't see Portsmouth secondary being able to contain Ironton passing game. Ironton wins 42-13.*

This might be the first game of the year where Ironton actually has all their starters healthy and playing. Im pretty sure there is still a couple banged up though (hand and shoulder) injuries. Its hard to believe they have had 8 running clocks out of 9 games with key starters out each game. I dont think tonight will be any different, there will be a running clock to make it 9 out of 10 games this year. That is just a wild stat! Ironton has depth and several sophomores start and are key parts on offense and defense.

Game Day! Good luck Trojans, an upset would be insane. I’ll take not getting shut out and injury free for the playoffs next week though. Don’t have the depth they do, so you have to play smart, physical football. Can’t afford any of those dumb unsportsmanlike, late hits, taunting crap penalties. It’s week 10, play fundamental football. It’s a rivalry, tempers will flare but think about there being more football left to be played this season. On Portsmouth….
