Ironton’s pass D is a bit more suspect than the run D. But Ironton also tends to bend but not break.

Broken plays. Nothing really sustainable. How many 1st downs for trojans? That stat tells ya what ya wanna know.

How did this end up working out?BuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 12:42 pm I guarantee a steak dinner to anyone who says otherwise and I’m wrong on this. Ironton is labeled as “physical” but in reality they are just dirty. So I bet a steak dinner they have at least 3 personal fouls, and a sideline warning tonight.

I believe a Portsmouth player may have gotten impaled by an Ironton players helmet from a block. Hope I’m wrong but if not then hopefully they can get it out safely and he recovers well.

Ik Portsmouths Rb1 got held under 50 yards rushing and no TDs. LmaoGobucks740 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:21 pmIs that all you know about football?ChecksNBalances wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:11 pmYou have more yards in unsportsmanlike conduct. lol

Trojans talk a good one. But they don't have any fight behind it. Buncha posturing and woofing. But no fight.

This is unfortunately true, super weird injury.TigerFella wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:32 pm I believe a Portsmouth player may have gotten impaled by an Ironton players helmet from a block. Hope I’m wrong but if not then hopefully they can get it out safely and he recovers well.

reds looking to call stuff. I watched a guy throw a flag simultaneous with the snap and it was a holding call. just looking to call stuff. I can’t even imagine how bad that could have been
Re: Week 10 : (8-1) Ironton @ (7-2) Portsmouth
Congrats to Ironton on the win. They are the real deal, but that’s nothing we didn’t already know. Really like both backs for the Tigers. I know Terry gets a lot of the talk but man Zane Williams is impressive, well put together kid. Thought the Trojans played better than expected in the first half, not so much in the second half. Passing was better tonight than it has been most of the season, rushing wasn’t there. Coach Kalb has to get control over these penalties, killing yourself against any team is bad, against a state title contender is just stupid. Good news for Portsmouth is in the playoffs they won’t see another team as good as Ironton, gotta clean stuff up to win next week though. Hoping for a home game, we shall see. Good luck to the rival Tigers the rest of the season. Fully expect to be watching them on my TV in early December.

Agree 100% Ironton has a nice collection of talent. Just have to take it one game at a time and see how it plays out for them. As for the Trojans, this has been a weird year, not sure what to expect next week.PTrojan59 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 10:00 pm Congrats to Ironton on the win. And just from reading some of these comment, this is exactly why everyone hates Ironton. Everything comes full circle though. Enjoy it now because teams will catch up and I don't think you guys can handle the same thing you're dishing out. I wouldn't say Portsmouth didn't have any fight, it's just how the game was officiated. You guys are talking about Portsmouth bumping our chests but it's all of you acting like you've never had a winning season before. Hard to give props to ppl like that.
Ironton is a good team. My honest opinion though, I don't see a state title. Yes the score was whatever it was but Portsmouth had linebackers covering Terry 1 on 1 lol. Why? I'll never know. No second half adjustments like always. Hard to win that way.

Congrats to the Tigers on your win over the Trojans. Good luck to both teams as you both start your 1st round of the playoffs.

It looks like if they win next week they may get the Tigers again.PTrojan59 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 10:00 pm Congrats to Ironton on the win. I might stay home and watch that one on MyTown lol. Looks like a tough game for the Trojans against Amanda CC, if they get by them it’ll be back to Ironton. So I guess it holds true they wouldn’t see a team as good as Ironton.WinnerWinner wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 11:41 pmIt looks like if they win next week they may get the Tigers again.PTrojan59 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 10:00 pm Congrats to Ironton on the win. Spot on, Ironton had 5 penalties on one drive, very undisciplined and will cost them in the playoffs against more talented teamsTigerBob wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:25 pmHow did this end up working out?BuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 12:42 pm I guarantee a steak dinner to anyone who says otherwise and I’m wrong on this. Heiland had 57 yards at half you idiot and Williams 58 at half. Both broke big runs. Both went over at least 75 on the night. Williams also threw the ball for a decent bit.ChecksNBalances wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:38 pmIk Portsmouths Rb1 got held under 50 yards rushing and no TDs. Re: Week 10 : (8-1) Ironton @ (7-2) Portsmouth
I believe you said 3 personal foul penalties? I think Portsmouth had 4 of those to Ironton’s 1? And Ironton’s 1 was on a coach and had nothing to do with “dirty” play.BuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 8:54 amSpot on, Ironton had 5 penalties on one drive, very undisciplined and will cost them in the playoffs against more talented teamsTigerBob wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 9:25 pmHow did this end up working out?BuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 12:42 pm I guarantee a steak dinner to anyone who says otherwise and I’m wrong on this. Re: Week 10 : (8-1) Ironton @ (7-2) Portsmouth
I don’t see either team having that many penalties moving forward. Ironton hasn’t had much of an issue all year with them. The refs seemed determined to not lose control of the game at all costs.TigerBob wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 9:53 amI believe you said 3 personal foul penalties?
