Britton got hurt in the first quarter and has been very limited.
Re: Wk 10: Marietta (6-3) @ Warren (6-3)
Pepper breaks up a pass on 4th and 8. Warren ball on their own 37 in the 4th. 28-16.

Lol they were so much stronger and bigger than FF. Really made a difference!OhioSportsGuyMike wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 1:37 pm I will go with Marietta on this one. Fort Frye line struggled against Warren, but I believe Marietta won’t have any trouble. They aren’t as quick as Fort Frye but much stronger and bigger.

Covered the two touchdowns and then some. What a duo of performances by the Warriors these last two games. Always good to win the league. GO BLUE!!

This guy knows ball, folks.LeftHandedCoach wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 8:58 am First off awesome to see Marietta and Warren playing a meaningful football game in late October.
Kudos to Coach Schob and Coach Peyton for securing both of their first winning seasons at the helm at MHS and WHS.
This game is fairly simple, ground and pound both teams have the same identity.
I believe Marietta may hold a small advantage on the defensive line but Warren holds the advantage in just pure athleticism and @ the QB position. If Warren can complete some passes down field I believe the warriors win the football game.
Warriors -4.5
27-19

Did Britton return to the game after injury? What happened to him?Normal_A_Ron wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 8:15 pm Britton got hurt in the first quarter and has been very limited.

7-3, a league title, and knocking your rival out of the playoffs is never a bad season. Props to Marietta too, good to see the two big schools in the county start to get it going a bit. Both teams lose quite a bit, should be interesting to see how both reload next season.

Great way to end the season, first league championship since '95?

Correct, and first outright since before that. Believe 95 was a split league title, but I could be wrong.
Re: Wk 10: Marietta (6-3) @ Warren (6-3)
Correct, a 3-way split with Gallia Academy & Jackson.
Last outright title was 1985, last season in the TVC.

Congrats to Warren! Looks like they made the playoffs as the 16 seed?
Re: Wk 10: Marietta (6-3) @ Warren (6-3)
Yes and they draw Bishop Watterson which averages over 40+ a game and giving up less than 13 a game.

Big boy had 3 TDS !! You can make excuses bout oh Marietta lost Britton or just like you did last week oh FF lost there back lol !! Fact is Warriors ran the ball down there throat just like the FF game .. Hard to stop 2 different style running backs all game and Warren did it the last two games and this why the scores have been what they were !!

Yes. And, as was mentioned, get a very likely state champion candidate in Watterson. I think we all have an idea of how that’ll go. Either way, 7-3 and a league title is a more than solid season for Warren. Judging it off the likely outcome next week is plain dumb. I’d be shocked if Watterson is challenged before the Final 4.
