I expected a very good Ironton Fighting Tigers team to win the game, so it wasn't disappointing from that aspect........

What was disappointing was how some of our Trojans conducted themselves on the field with personal fouls, unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, and obvious lack of self-control......but this is nothing new for Portsmouth football. We unfortunately have a history of the aforementioned problems, but last night it was on a higher level. Whether it was because of playing Ironton or residue from the 7 on 7 during the summer I don't know.

But it was embarrassing to see so many out of control moments by the Trojans......we got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty to begin the game even before we ran a play......and it got worse from that point on.

We used up the "referee" explanation with the Fairland game, and rightfully so, but last night it wasn't the refs looking to throw a bunch of flags. The Trojans' created their own mess and didn't know how to respond with discipline and determination when Ironton kicked them in the teeth. Instead they resorted to behavior that was a poor reflection on not only the program, but the school and community as well.

You sound ridiculous Lol. Ask anywhere other than Ironton and they'll tell you their opinions on teams conduct and who takes the cake. I was also told by a player that actually was on the field and knows what was going on, on the field. Penalties were called for curse words. Give me a break. Nothing nearly as "dirty" going on as you try to say. IF you ever played lol or just too old to remember what goes on on the field, that's just how it goes. Go into any locker room in the country and you'll hear your fair share of words from staff and players.

Sad but true... and it ain't jus football... no ports teams can win or lose the right way.... says something about the culture. No offense dave...59... others in the community who win an lose with class...

Why wasnt players pulled from game after 1 or at least two fouls. It is embarrassing to fans, school and just plain football fans from any team that players dont sit the bench after uncontollable play. Play the sophs or freshmen and tell the ones either straightn up or sit the bench. TrojanDave, this is not a football question but im interested to see if new Head basketball Coach will have a more discplined and team play and if this happens, players will sit. Control of the whole program will begin Nov 1 and if not checked from the beginning of a coaching career things just gets more unbalanced as future seasons go.

Problem is benching will not happen and the reason for undisciplined games like last night. It was embarrassing on the field and the sidelines. When you dont hold anyone accountable it won’t stop. I’m a Trojan fan but last night was rough.

Kinda slipped my mind, but with the amount of solid backs Ironton has the old "Power T" was pretty effective. Can be a useful formation going forward.

Portsmouth really needs to invest in some football coaches, week in and week out they are out coached,walking on and off the field, taking there helmets off before getting off the field, (kids have no discipline) , there is no attention to detail ( shed blocks, lineman head in hole when pulling, can’t tackle in the open field, and was told by a reliable source that the last 2 weeks they have let out of practice early every day I mean you have to put in the work if you want success maybe there was a reason we forced 3-4 turnovers in the first half against the tigers and came away with no points
