Really don’t feel great about this but I’m really just going off Fantastic 50 and our playoff history. thoughts?

No clue. Absolutely no idea about West Holmes besides they play an excellent schedule and beat the teams that they should.

Play hard and smart and hopefully good things will happen.

I do think this is the best the lines have been for Unioto over the past 3 seasons and West Holmes has a monsterous bus ride, but Holmes County schools tend to do well in the SE District, so I’m not sure that really matters.

WH has a talented QB and good receivers. We are going to need to win up front and play a clean, hopefully turnover free game.

My brother lives in the West Holmes district and goes to most of their games. My nephew played there about 5 years ago. They have a first year Head Coach. He says it is not the typical West Holmes team, but they are still decent. He has come down to see Zane Trace play this season and said that West Holmes would beat them handily. So, take that how you want.

All we have to do is play. It is what it is. They haven’t beat a team with a winning record. Looks a lot like Urbana last year. Or we just wait for a generational team like waverly did. Crazy how a team that wasn’t even picked to win the bad Svc is all of a sudden supposed to win playoff games in d4.

Honestly schedule hard non conference teams and hope to go 6-4 to draw an overrated SEO team first round lol. No point to get a top 4-5 seed to play a solid 5-5 team from a good conference. I’d rather get the 10 or 11 and play Logan Elm or FU Than get a high seed and play a 5-5 team that’s way better and plays in a way better conference

West Holmes will be very physical and well coached. West Holmes with the win and I will not be surprised if its a running clock. Just a different mentality.

This is probably the best 3 year stretch we’ve ever had in recent memory. Sucks how the playoffs have gone but it’s still promising for the future. Not sure how but we just need line depth in the future. We’ve gotten killed up front in the last 2 playoff games

I'll tell you how to have success in the playoffs. It's REAL simple according to the "experts" on SEO Preps . . . drop VC, Amanda, and Waverly. Replace them with Ironton, Watterson, and Elder. That schedule fix will get you a first round win.

Another tuff draw for Unioto- competition wise West Holmes has played far better competition than Unioto- but hey got to play the game- Good Luck Unioto but probably another 1 and done in the football playoffs.

I get this always seems to be the thought, schedule harder but in the SVC you have 3 weeks of non-conference opponents so you schedule hard for weeks 1-3 and then play SVC opponents the next 7 it simply doesn't balance out. They also have played the tougher teams of the SVC at the backend of the schedule and it still hasn't helped. West Holmes has played a bunch of D2 and D3 schools if Unioto truly wants to improve and try to make a run in the playoffs they really should look at FAC play. They'll probably see more 5 to 7 win seasons but they could also be better prepared but I don't think Unioto has any interest in that.

With that being said I don't really know anything about West Holmes outside of looking at their schedule which is sort of on the tougher side of things at least compared to Unioto but they also didn't beat a single team that was .500 or above. I think Unioto can keep it close early on but ultimately let's go with WH by 14, good luck to Unioto hopefully you can pull this one out though.

Fantastic 50 has West Holmes by 6. For reference we were 3 point favorites vs Urbana and I think 10-14 point underdogs vs Massie lol

I'm really hopeful that Unioto wins this first round playoff game against West Holmes. Let's also hope that both teams have an injury free game.
