Week 11: Manchester @ Minster

Post by Kurgan74 »

The Gregounds drew the 15 seed. They missed out on being the 16 and playing Marion Local. However, they drew the 15 and their reward is a trip to Minster.

It's said every single year but I'll go ahead and say it early in this thread, that won't be very long. Games like this are why 16 teams simply don't work, Minster could play their JV in this one.

Is this the first time Manchester has ever made the post season. If so cool for the kids but minster will be in running clock situation in the 2nd quarter.

Minster would probably kill everyone in SEO. Might be the biggest mismatch in the state

Textbook example of NO MORE than 8 teams make playoffs-preferred 4 teams. It meant something then. OH is trending toward KY 🤯🤯

Yeah, this one will get fugly. But you know what, Manchester made the playoffs and should be proud of their season regardless what happens next week. Build on this season Greyhounds!*

Agree!
If the Coach, the Kids and the Parents are happy to play in the playoffs, I'm not going to rain on their parade.

This ^, Manchester in its fairly short football history has never played a team even close to this Minster team. Hopefully the HC has his 3rd string in by the 2nd qtr, because even the Minster 2nd team will be laying the wood to Manchester.

Yikes. Ridiculous that these games are evening happening. But props to Manchester for going to play it. Just a different type of football in that area

No I don’t think Minster would beat multiple teams in the SEO. That’s Marion Local that would beat everyone including the state champs in divisions 4-7.

Pretty impressive that they could beat themselves as the D VII state champions! All joking aside, I’d go as far as DIII. The buck would stop at Massillon at DII and the DI state champion

Rain on their parade . . . they're going to get a hurricane run thru their parade . . . they made the playoffs at 3-6. They wanted the playoffs, they got'em. OHSAA is literally stealing $$$$ here. I went to the Marion Local/Minster game. I have some close friends up there, so I went for a visit and got to see a great high school football game. Minster matched Marion's physicality. Marion just had better skill players.
