Cowardice or just plain common sense to avoid a needless physical beat down that does nothing to advance your program or players well being ?

They say nothing is impossible, yet I accomplish nothing every day.

This is why the number 1-4 should get a buy. Logan needs to drop out of their playoff game.

The majority of the teams in the state of Ohio should probably drop out to avoid a beat down by them.

Title is misleading. The 16th seed withdrew, and it’s the same team that didn’t have enough bodies to play Notre Dame.

The teams that finished 17th and 18th in the standings declined bids to play.

I mean just give them the trophy. They win every year anyways.

Not questioning the decision to not play at all, just wondering if that decision was made by the School Superintendent, or the AD or if the Coach and players had any say one way or the other?

The fairest presumption is the kids didn’t get a say in the matter.

At this point I don't know why Marion local even wants to play in division 7 football. They should petition to be moved up to division 6 or even division 5.

I noticed that it is another MAC team that will play them, even though they lost to ML 62-0 earlier this season. MAC teams are not afraid to compete.

It’s hard to judge these teams not playing them.
They may have small rosters and injuries I look at Green how small their roster was but I want to put these kids against a team of a roster 60 or more no I would not if they had injuries to key or players.
If teams are 3-7 or worse that more than likely means they are not very good teams.

Very good idea for ML to do cause IMO ML would win a state championship in d7 and d6 and d5 and i would even say d4 they would win it and possibly d3 they are a powerhouse and i don't see it slowing down anytime soon

This is probably best for the kids no sense in getting them hurt for no reason

Nope not at all, it serves no purpose for that 16 seed against a team like Marion Local.

another reason these 16 team playoffs need to go away. Yeah OHSAA is making a ton of money from 16 teams so i dont believe we will ever see it go away but 1 vs 8 were much more competitive. Maybe not in this case with ML but still better than 1 vs 16. Just a bunch of useless beatings for the most part.
