Piketon at Columbus Academy

Post by mikepike »

12th seed Piketon goes on the road to 5th seed Academy. Streaks (7-3) and Vikings (9-1) meet for the second time in 3 years, both times in the playoff. Vikings defeated the Red Streaks 30-22 on the road. What does Piketon have to do to bring home the victory?

Good luck to the Piketon Red Streaks in your first round matchup against Columbus Academy.

That Piketon team was special and this Columbus academy team is better. I hope Piketon does well but I’ll take CA by running clock

Nothing is comparative to the other meeting, hoping piketon can pull this out but going to be tough. They’ve got to put together 4 mistake free quarters and hope Academy makes the mistakes to have a shot in this one. Really like how piketon has finished the season and they’re heading into postseason play at their peak. CA probably just a little too much though, CA by 21 but hopefully I’m wrong

Don’t like this match up at all for the Streaks. Academy played a very good schedule and just don’t think this will be close. Sure hope I am wrong.

Well, watched some of this game online and Piketon couldn’t get anything started on offense! The defense played well considering being on the field a bunch! Take this experience and build on it, I would say that was the best team they played all year! Next year there is potential, just need to develop some key positions and get stronger!

Congrats to Piketon on a solid season, played CA very tough but eventually they just wore things down.

Not a bad showing at all by Piketon. They had a good season and should be pretty strong again next year.*

Piketon loses their top two playmakers outside of the QB, but return a defense that made huge leaps from last year and has a lot of those guys back.

Should be a playoff team again and likely with a home game next year if they can find some playmakers on the outside.

Congrats Red Streaks on a good season. No shame in losing to a pretty good team in Columbus Academy.

Piketon impressed me more than any team I saw all fall. They would bring the "mail" every night.

Agree and I believe they return a pretty solid core

Piketon will be a team to watch next year idk who comes back on def but they will be good on offensive line and have their qb back tuff to replace 34, but with other Svc schools losing lot of talent piketon will be on the rise

Columbus Academy gets a date with Harvest Prep with whom I’ve heard they have a “history”. CA used to be in a league with HP and got all the teams to create a new league because they couldn’t beat HP (one conference loss in 6 years which ironically was to CA).

Could be some bad blood…
