Barnesville28 Wheelersburg 10. Also if I was Ironton , I wouldn't be sleeping on them.
It’s actually not a bad scoring prediction if the game goes in favor of Barnesville. However I still contend that Barnesville will have issues with depth and conditioning if burg is hanging around in the third and fourth quarter. I’m not saying that barnesville isn’t conditioned, I’m saying they’ve not had to play a full 4 quarters and that may come into play. It did tithe last two games when these two got together.

The only difference this year is that even though burg has more depth, burg is not as deep the last two years. That’s why I said burg needs to be within striking distance late in the game or even ahead. If they are down two scores in the third, I think Barnesville will win it. Both teams are well coached. Coaching may come into play at the end for either team but both will be sound.

yeah I would also be curious why anyone would pretend to be a fan of a team when they obviously arent. see, we agree on something
That’s for you to answer. You are the one praising Pendleton for breaking Wheelersburg football.
He stated a fact. Nothing wrong with that. 1 and 15.
1989 is a fact

It’ll be on turf. That may actually hurt Barnesville as they look to be built more as a mudder team. If Wheelersburg has speed to burn the turf will be their advantage.

Fascinating game to pick and maybe the best 1st round game around

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure Barnesville plays on a turf field.

Burg isn’t overly fast this year. Not slow but have had faster teams.

darn bro relax  “it’ll be on turf” made it sound like it’ll be something Barnesville isn’t used to. Not sure what Burg has but I thought UL was supposed to have some athletes on the outside and we see how that went.

Take a deep breath it’ll all be okay.

Run along, no one cares what you think, troll elsewhere.
Why are Burg fans so reluctant about telling us about their "superior coaching & culture" now? Post makes a point. Surely all that superiority can avoid that?
Make a post that makes just a little bit of sense then get back with all of us.

I like to see a Burg win but I think they may have their hands full.
A team doesn’t score 50 plus points a game by accident no matter the schedule.
Burg has improved greatly when they got to the SOC portion of the schedule but it’s the playoffs now and Barnsville is at home and I’m sure wants to prove they belong.
Good luck Burg but I think this maybe one of the better games on Friday night.

Schedule does matter, however I feel that Barnesville wins in a competitive game.

Agree. And I believe the same for Barnesville as well if they win.

This looks like the team for ironton that may be able to win it all (finally)…would only take what, 5 kids with D1 offers to get it done? interesting that they had to bring in an ex Pirate…let’s see if he can get it done for em…
This is Pendleton’s 3rd or 4th best team since coming to Ironton. I am certainly pulling for the Fighting Tigers as well as everyone else in our area, but to win it all would say DV is way down this year. They just don’t have the horses up front on either side to compete with northern Ohio.

Not sure if this is Pendletons best Ironton team or not but they certainly have the horses to compete with anyone in D5. Same line as last year basically. A year older. The skill group is the best in D5 if you ask me. The only team that may be better than this team is 2019 team. This team reminds me a lot of the 2022 team I just think this team is deeper and this team has the Best player in Shaun Terry. Harvest prep may have been the best team in D5 last year. If you watched the Perry Semi final game Prep controlled the game in a lot of ways. They had a ton of penalties and costly turnovers. They also gave up a big play on 3 and like 20 early in game for a score. I think if they played 10 times they would have easily split 5-5.

This is IMO the best team of the pendleton era. 22 had a better D Line I think.

If there was ever a year for us to FINALLY get that elusive state title, this is it. If not this year when?
