Tall task for the Ironmen. Like most good programs, Jackson has gotten better as the season went on. BW is favored to make a run at the D3 state championship. Jackson will need to eliminate turnovers and stay in front of the chains to stay in this one. This is a proud group however and they will show up and compete hard. GO IRONMEN !

Watterson is for real. Not huge defensively but they are fast, athletic, and very well coached. Jackson will be Jackson and compete their tails off, but BW is a buzzsaw. Very few, if any, real weaknesses on either side of the ball. Jackson needs to hold possession for long periods and hope for a turnover or two.

Tough tough task for Jackson but let's be honest there isn't anyone that is going to give them a chance in this one. Strap them up and see what happens but I think Watterson takes this by 21. Love to be wrong though

It is at Watterson's home field which I believe is Ohio Dominican University.

All the Watterson posters on other sites are discussing who they will play in state semis and finals. You would think their players have to be hearing that from family, community, fellow students. Steubenville posters talking about playing Watterson in 2 1/2 weeks. Both teams are certainly favorites and looking ahead, which helps the other teams if they can put together that perfect night. You only have to win once.

Certainly not the first time Jackson has been in this position. A school from rural SE Ohio, going to a Metropolitan area, to compete with the monster that is Watterson. On top of it, this team is supposed to be one of the best Watterson has fielded. Nothing to lose for the Ironmen here. Lose by a bunch and it was expected. But, keep it close late and potentially shock the state? Wouldn't be the first time!

Jackson and Bishop Watterson have met twice in the playoffs before, with each getting a win. Jackson in 2015 (14-0) and BW in 2022 (24-22). Both games were neutral site games played in Chillicothe.
