Have seen the on field discipline issues when they have played ZT the past few years and been much scrutiny about off field issues too. Looking at online pictures from the playoff game last night it looked like a half empty stadium and that definitely isn’t Paint Valley. Last week it looked as though they may have dressed 30 kids which is an extremely low number for them.

Seems like things are quite the mess out in Bainbridge, built such a nice facility, hopefully they can get things turned around. Not sure what the answer is as transfers aren't the problem as most schools deal with them.

Not throwing shade at the current coach, coaching staff, and school administration, but it does seem a complete different program from the old coach Pete Hollon. I hope I spelled his name right. But maybe I an wrong.

Parents are not the issue. Some of the administration allows bullying to go on. Favoritism is a huge issue not transfers. There is no accountability for actions of students. Principal is part of the issue.
Re: Paint Valley vs Purcell Marian
They should join the fac cause playing d4 schools like unioto obviously isn’t helping them in d6 need to play Jackson so they are better prepared to win in week 11
Re: Paint Valley vs Purcell Marian
Y'all are equivalent to a 16 year old boy playing all the neighborhood 12 and 13 year old in 1v1 basketball and beating his chest bc he never loses. Then. He has to play fellow 16 year olds in the tournament and gets his ass handed to him. Then he cries bc he had a bad "draw". Unioto couldn't win state in d7. Let alone 5 or 6. Go play hoops
Re: Paint Valley vs Purcell Marian
How can pv people be so mad when their seniors have the bodies of 11-12 year olds? They sgould be satisfyed to make the playoffs when they have such little boys playing varsitu foot all
Thanks for pointing it out djt47, you promote bullying at pv and talk about them being small children what a great athletic supporter

Paint Valley is the 14 year old who talks trash to the 16 year old all year then gets whooped on and cries about the age gapDJT47 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 10:55 amY'all are equivalent to a 16 year old boy playing all the neighborhood 12 and 13 year old in 1v1 basketball and beating his chest bc he never loses. Did these current problems or unhappy parents exist with their former coach? Or did the community as a whole rally around him?

Pv didn’t loose to unioto or Zane trace very much with the last coach so they were behind that coach
Re: Paint Valley vs Purcell Marian
Don't be mad at PV bc yall lose to teams who shouldn't even be in the playoffs. Your program is a joke. They have proven it three straight years.Tanks3232 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:32 pmPaint Valley is the 14 year old who talks trash to the 16 year old all year then gets whooped on and cries about the age gapDJT47 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 03, 2024 10:55 amY'all are equivalent to a 16 year old boy playing all the neighborhood 12 and 13 year old in 1v1 basketball and beating his chest bc he never loses. Re: Paint Valley vs Purcell Marian
This thread got wild. From what I can tell, every school in the SVC has a lot to work on when it comes to football, since we all lost in Week 11. We just ran into a tough lower seed whose record did not reflect their actual talent. It happens. Also, I think the crowd issue comes down more to tickets costing $11 a person, or $5 a student, and families / casual fans just not being able to afford them.
PV definitely has some things to get fixed athletically, but I think we can and it's gonna be tough for us in any league with our current enrollment (42ish kids per grade in both 9th and 10th, with only about 15 boys in 10th and 25 in 9th). We also have a great group of Cross County kids in both those grades that really focus on running, which takes some good athletes away from football.
Overall, the convenience of the distance between all the SVC schools is more valuable than I think any of us will ever understand and the tradition is valuable. As long as the kids are growing into better humans and learning valuable life lessons (which I know is not always the case but is/will get better), then I could care less about wins and losses as a fan.
In regards to the school itself / academics side, I think they're doing some really cool things down there and are really providing great opportunities for students (free ACT prep, a booming STEM program, etc.) that I think we will see growth from in the coming years, especially with Bainbridge getting a sewer system and the increased tourism from the Hopewell mounds.
I realize this is a rant, but definitely wanted to throw some positives out there from a PV perspective, instead of just bashing the other SVC schools.

Well said, I agree with lot of this post and when I comes down to it playoffs are all about matchups. If you look at every teams playoff history the Svc teams that win games in the playoffs get a good matchup in round one or they have a generational team and they win few games division has little to nothing to do with any Svc team in playoffs we are all pretty overmatchedPVBearcat2012 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 10:30 am This thread got wild. It’ll work itself out, for now here’s what I heard. The basketball are out and PV football is done for the year yet again.
