Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
He is not a coordinator for Chillicothe. He is a position coach.

Would Carper bail after 1 season at ZVille? Did he ever move up here or is his family still down there? ZVille was a train wreck this year and looks like they could be for a while.... Nothing there.
Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
What’s worse, going 0-10 at a schlll who is clearly struggling talent or taking over a 10 win team and wonning 13 games the next two years with a lot of talent?
Chilicothe gets there choice!

Uh, he will win 7-8 games per season for least the next two years at Zane Trace. Why would he want to coach in that disaster? That is my question.
Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
He applied for different jobs at the end of last year with more talent coming back than he will have next year.petesweaty wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:58 amUh, he will win 7-8 games per season for least the next two years at Zane Trace. Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Well, Zane Trece has never been able to keep football coaches more than 2 or 3 years it seems. Not like there isn't talent there to consistently win in the SVC. Zane Trace will win more games next year than they did this season.luvtlm wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 4:41 pmHe applied for different jobs at the end of last year with more talent coming back than he will have next year.petesweaty wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:58 amUh, he will win 7-8 games per season for least the next two years at Zane Trace. Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
It would be wise for Carper to throw his hat in the ring at Chillicothe, I said from the very beginning last year that Zanesville was NOT the job he thought it was. Big mistake leaving Vinton County.Play60Football wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:15 am Would Carper bail after 1 season at ZVille? Did he ever move up here or is his family still down there? Zanesville is in a rough spot and doesn't seem to be much light at the end of the tunnel
Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
He knew the cupboard was empty at VC. He must have had green glasses on when he viewed the grass in Zanesville. But he quickly learned it was actually worse than what VC had. He also learned that those blowing smoke up his hindquarters telling him he made something amazing out of nothing were literally blowing smoke. So, does he continue to dig a hole where he is or try to do something Bart couldn’t even do at Chilli? Neither seems like much fun to me.Penguin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 12:41 pmIt would be wise for Carper to throw his hat in the ring at Chillicothe, I said from the very beginning last year that Zanesville was NOT the job he thought it was. Yeah but VC was a competitive football team this year and he had already set a foundation, I guarantee hindsight has him wanting a time machine right about now.
Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Probably so, no coach ever envisions going 1-9.Penguin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 6:35 pmTom Smyth wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 3:32 pmHe knew the cupboard was empty at VC. Would a guy like Hoops or Dye from the SVC be willing to take a stab at this job? One is on top of the mountain and one maybe needing a fresh start. Or could they throw enough money at the Wheelersburg coach???
Just throwing out thoughts.
Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Dye, maybe. But why would hoops leave? Why in the world would Woodward leave lol.shoelace wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 8:09 pmProbably so, no coach ever envisions going 1-9.Penguin wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 6:35 pmTom Smyth wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 3:32 pm

Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Aren’t Zanesville and Chillicothe basically the same job, other than the latter being in a more manageable conference for competitiveness purposes?Play60Football wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:15 am Would Carper bail after 1 season at ZVille? Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Chillicothe is in a much better place than Zanesville. Chillicothe can draw from smaller SVC schools. Zanesville was losing kids to better MVL schools. Chillicothe also has a solid younger group. TJ at Chillicothe will win 5-7 games in year 1. They’ll be the best team in Ross county and they will pull talent from the rest of the County. It’s a win win for both parties.formerfcfan wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 8:44 pmAren’t Zanesville and Chillicothe basically the same job, other than the latter being in a more manageable conference for competitiveness purposes?Play60Football wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 11:15 am Would Carper bail after 1 season at ZVille? Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Chillicothe needs to develop their own talent. The smaller SVC schools are not the minor leagues. It is not like Chillicothe still plays in the OCC.Dundas wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 9:56 pmChillicothe is in a much better place than Zanesville. Chillicothe can draw from smaller SVC schools. Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Muskingum county is really good. Zanesville has more state appearances than Chillicothe has playoff wins. Chillicothe does play in a much weaker league which would be appealingDundas wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 9:56 pm Chillicothe is in a much better place than Zanesville. Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
I might be wrong but it doesn’t feel like Chillicothe is getting much if anything from those schools. I’d guess they lose a good bit more than they gainDundas wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 9:56 pmChillicothe is in a much better place than Zanesville. Chillicothe can draw from smaller SVC schools. Re: Bartholomew Resigns as Chillicothe Head Coach
Over the last 10 years, yes. But if Chillicothe can get back to a legitimate contender, they will pull from the county. Right now, Unioto has been that team. That could flip with one or two good seasons from the cavs.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 10:42 pmI might be wrong but it doesn’t feel like Chillicothe is getting much if anything from those schools. A few successful seasons by Chillicothe and they will absolutely pull talent from the county.petesweaty wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 10:05 pmChillicothe needs to develop their own talent.
