Fairland vs West muskingdom

Besides Ironton this will be the best team Fairland has played all year.
This game is simple tonight I think the team that wins the turnover battle and wins the money downs will win the game.
These are both talented teams with a lot of great players. Both teams have a lot of guys who are playing in potentially their last high school football game. Curious to see if both teams are nervous to start the game the pressure will be high and whoever can control the nerves early will put themselves in a good spot.


This should be a four quarter game and can’t wait to see who makes the big plays for both teams this should be a great game tonight

Took the momentum out of what should have been a TD drive and just gave WM even better yardage off what would have been an incomplete pass on a roughing the passer.

Fairland is being outcoached, offense is a step behind the defense and have been all night. Offense is very predictable and stagnant. No way they win this game with the OC they have. None.

Fairland coaches are costing them this game!!!! Play calling is horrific!!! Just gave up the end of first half, let clock run down when they have the athletes to get a big play!! Absolutely worse coaching job ive seen from them!!!! Kids are playing hard. Only down 13 with 8 min left in 3rd qrt and the play calls were nothing but deep balls!! Beeern running the ball, driving but can't stand to finish a drive like that!!

Congrats, Tornadoes — you all executed and Fairland couldn’t.
Penalties and lack of being able to execute plays killed the Dragons.

As someone who attended this game and didn’t have a dog in the fight, this was definitely one of the worst reffing jobs I’ve seen in person. Just a complete inability to control the game in the 2nd half. Unfortunate to see that in a playoff game.

As for the game, WM executed and Fairland didn’t. A penalty wiped out an early Fairland TD pass from Wall to Smith. Settled for a FG that got blocked. WM took a 13-0 lead due to explosive plays. After being down a couple scores, the Fairland offense was relegated to Wall dropping back and chucking it down the field or running a scramble drill. Zero rhythm to the offense in the 2nd half.

Congrats to West Muskingum on the win. Good luck next round against Wheelersburg. WM has a couple very good players. Should be able to give Wheelersburg a run for their money, but I’m not going against the Pirates as long as they dictate how the game will be played.

West Muskingum had a great gameplan they executed all night long. The kids played great assignment football. They were calling out the plays before they were coming. They were so prepared to stop what Fairland was going to do on offense and attack the defense with a balanced offense.
The onside kicks were huge the WM kids fed off the energy, west Muskingum won every face of the football game. They won the battles on offense -defense-special teams and coaching.


The Fairland kids played hard. The frustration was evident and the kids felt defeated late hated to see some of the late penalties and just undisciplined behavior shown in the second half. They were in the game and they competed even though they were unable to overcome the adversity they faced on the field. Really wish they would have been put in some better positions to make plays could have changed the game.
Solid season back to back years where you win 9 regular season games but two disappointing losses in the playoffs and two big losses to Ironton ultimately impact the outcomes of their seasons and have you feeling sad about what could have been for the kids as the season comes to an end earlier than they would have liked especially this talented senior group who had a ton of success.

West Muskingum and Wheelersburg should be a fun one next week

after watching WM last two games before fairland I knew they were in trouble. Then to not be prepared for the onside kicks and have offensive linemen on the front line of kick return knowing they kicked it onside 5-6 times the games before this one. Put kids on that front line that can handle the dang football. Not linemen.
