Agreed. But ironton had 10 penalties themselves. Way to many. Better clean it up before next week.

This game went about how I figured it would, exactly like week 10. Ironton dominated, Portsmouth still no discipline. I’m all for being aggressive and playing hard nosed football, but show some restraint and discipline. I like Coach Kalb, but he has got to get a voice and not tolerate the crazy behavior. It was a fun season, some ups and downs, season changed week 7, made this game possible. Losing 16 seniors is tough, great group that have a lot to be proud of. Set a lot of records and won some big games. Not sure how next season will go, lose a lot but return some nice pieces. Congrats to Ironton on another dominant win. Big game for them next week, good luck the rest of the season. New scoreboard is nice, need some better speakers next.

Not a bad season at all for the Trojans, but they gotta find a passing game going into the offseason.
As for Ironton, train keeps rollin. Terry is just fun to watch. And Edwards not far behind. Good luck next week against HP.*

I just seen a video of a Portsmouth kid throwing an Ironton player to the ground, and punching the Ironton player under the helmet… then another player tried to step on the Ironton’s player’s hand. This was at the VERY BEGINNING of the game. That tells me everything I need to know about how undisciplined Portsmouth is. Kudos to #15 for not retaliating. He knows the bigger goal…

A good season by the Trojans but what was seen with all these personal fouls and unsportsmanlike is an embarrassment. I understand frustration but it kept happening and that’s on the leadership. If you don’t bench or do anything it will never stop. Ironton was ironton. 94-0 in 2 games is brutal. Good luck rest of the way Ironton.

While I think Portsmouth showed very poor sportsmanship, let’s not act like Ironton are good ole boys who do no wrong. Their savior Scawee Tawee was literally coming out of his routes on run plays and punching and slapping the Portsmouth kids in the head instead of blocking. One play he did it and the Portsmouth kid went to retaliate and he ran away and spun him out because he didn’t want to get embarrassed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again Ironton is dirty, always has been and always will be, their coach was dirty at west and he’s taken that up to Ironton. They are a very undisciplined football team and that’s why their run will end without a state title.OVC wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:15 am I just seen a video of a Portsmouth kid throwing an Ironton player to the ground, and punching the Ironton player under the helmet… then another player tried to step on the Ironton’s player’s hand. If he can run at full speed, punch someone in the head as he is turning, run away, then avoid the attacker entirely with a spin move, he needs to go to the UFC, not the SEC.
The reason Portsmouth kids are constantly punching, fighting, talking, etc. is obvious. Because it’s tolerated. It happens, they leave for a play, their buddies on the sideline congratulate them, they go back in the game. Shirts with F Bombs on them? At a high school game? No problem!
Either the coach needs to get it under control or they need to find a coach who will get it under control. Same school and same kids have ran a basketball program full of class under multiple coaches in the same timeframe. Because that behavior isn’t tolerated when it’s basketball season.

Why would he need to run at full speed when they are running the ball and he’s blocking? Brush up on those reading skills, take the goggles off and realize it’s not as one sided as you think. Those refs weren’t going to throw flags on Ironton for their unsportsmanlike bs, they wouldn’t even call holding on them until the game was out of hand. This game was out of hand before it kicked off. Portsmouth was getting physically manhandled from the start and they lashed out. It’s common with teams who haven’t been disciplined. I would venture to guess Ironton has more holding calls in the 2 games against Portsmouth than they had in just about all other games, so I’m not sure where that is coming from. I understand it is tough for kids to get repeatedly dominated but coaches need to talk to them about it. Life is tough.BuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:42 amWhy would he need to run at full speed when they are running the ball and he’s blocking? I said Portsmouth’s behavior is tolerated. One form of toleration is excuse making. Stuff like “They are just as bad as us!” and “The refs are against us!” are examples.BuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:42 amWhy would he need to run at full speed when they are running the ball and he’s blocking? Lets stop the Heiland hype btw. Ironton shut him down in both games. He is slow and not as strong as advertised. In game 1 ironton held him under 60 yards rushing.
Last night was probably even less. Williams for Ironton is light years more talented at the position. Bigger. Faster. Stronger. Etc.

Here’s the difference, I was at the 7 on 7 scrimmage. After the scuffle, Portsmouth kids were celebrating leaving the stadium and getting on the bus. Ironton’s coaches ran their players for a solid 15 minutes afterwards. There’s zero discipline. If I knew that we were going to get into trouble, I’d be adjusting the ones dancing, and I definitely wouldn’t be celebrating.!BuckeyeBlood wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:42 amWhy would he need to run at full speed when they are running the ball and he’s blocking? Ironton got a holding call on thier first drive. I just rewatched the first half. Ironton had a holding call on their second offensive play of the game. They had 5 penalties in their first 4 drives, 3 of which were holding. So this crybaby idea that Ironton didn’t get any penalties until the game “was out of hand” is nonsense. Maybe Portsmouth fans should ask instead why #20 and #22 felt compelled to roll over on players and get up and talk trash after making tackles 20 yards down field.Carmen Ohio wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 9:50 amThis game was out of hand before it kicked off. I'll be willing to sit down 1 on 1 and see what you're all about lol. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Everything comes full circle! So when Pendleton is done with yall and the transfers stop coming, then what? I love Portsmouth's fight. From the beginning it was one sided on hoe the officials addressed behavior. If you think Ironton is innocent then you're just dumb. I heard officials send players to the sideline and the reasoning was for talking. Thats as soft as it can get. Yes there were flags but thats all people see. They don't actually understand and realize the whole picture. What led up to that point? You walk into someone's face and say whatever and expect nothing to happen? But hey, throw your hands up and act innocent and you're victim.ChecksNBalances wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 10:29 amLmao what a bumb a** program portsmouth is. The portsmouth coaches don't discipline their players so the Ironton players punished them. Stupid post. Heiland hype? He was 100% their best player, deserves every single bit of hype and praise he got. He carried the team on his back last year and other than JT Williams did this year as well. He’s a converted WR, didn’t play RB until last season. He’s very fast and strong. You want to compare him to Williams, and you can’t. He runs behind better OL, has other backs to spell him, has a passing game so teams can’t stack the box on him. He’s a very good player, I’m impressed with him, but it’s honestly not a comparable situation. I guarantee Ironton would love to have had Heiland on their team. Sit your dumb ass downChecksNBalances wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 10:10 am Lets stop the Heiland hype btw. Ironton shut him down in both games. He is slow and not as strong as advertised.
