If only the almost unstoppable offense was just a tad more unstoppable. Congrats to FF on the win

See what did I say… All love here guys. Glad to watch the craziest high school game I’ve ever seen. Two good teams I hope the miller kid comes back soon. To good of an athlete to be sidelined with an injury. Waterford almost did the impossible.. as we always say “maybe next year”
Hopefully Cadets get some good news on Clayton this weekend.
Until next year. Muffler out

Congrats to FF. That was a game. Saw a lot of former Waterford and FF players there.
Hats off to Huck, his staff and team for another W
Article in their paper has waterfords coach admitting he needs to coach better.
Not sure what the qb was thinking throwing into quadruple coverage but this game may go down as one of the best rivalry matchups ever.
Hope Miller is ok. What an athlete. Been watching him for years and hope everything goes in his favor to be able to finish out his senior year.
Maybe next time Waterford. But until then- cadets - good luck in the next round. What a way to win.

Great seasons to both teams and good luck to fort Frye next week. Got to support our southeastern Ohio schools!!
A lot of the community has been asking why Waterford moved up to DVI this year. Sources tell me that the AD never communicated with Coaches on the competitive balance numbers for the open enrolled freshman and that the AD submitted the required paperwork adding in two, Tier 2 freshman that never played a down last year. Both of those players added 3 points each putting Waterford's divisional assignment total to 114. They had to be a 112 to stay in DVII. If the AD would have communicated with the Coaches they would had removed them and would have been a 108 and would have stayed in Division VII region 27.
To me its looks like there is no support from the leadership or administration with their football program.

Does the OHSAA do this every 2 years like I've heard or can Waterford slide down to VII next school year?
Re: D6 23: 5. Waterford (9-2) @ 4. Fort Frye (8-3)
Unfortunately it's a two year deal. Caldwell, Eastern, Waterford all belong in 7. Just for fun I checked all of their numbers last week and at 97 boys (9-11) they're all firmly 7 but that CB is a killer.

Yes, probably the CB is meant for schools that add players that make you say "hmmmm?" Like Fairland and their 'homeless' thing.

Enrollment numbers are every 2 years but comp balance numbers are calculated every year. So Waterford comp balance number for next year will come from the kids that were on the team for the first scrimmage this season

All schools baseline enrollment numbers calculated every two years. Competitive balance is recalculated every year. So enrollment cut off lines will be recalculated based on how the schools end up falling in order. So yes Waterford and all other schools may move to a different division next year.

IMO, as much as anything, they stopped themselves by passing too much. That running game is excellent.

This is exactly it. Fort Frye was gassed. Multiple times Waterford passed on first down when they didn’t have to. Just stop over thinking and run the ball. Instead they decide to pass with a 40 % passer.
