Wk 14: (9-4) Wheelersburg vs. (12-1) Ironton
Re: Wk 14: (9-4) Wheelersburg vs. (12-1) Ironton
Ridiculous it’s at South Point and not Portsmouth. But to be honest virtually no schools visitor side is big enough except Jackson and Logan
Re: Wk 14: (9-4) Wheelersburg vs. (12-1) Ironton
This will be the biggest crowd South Point has EVER seen…. lol

Can confirm that Jackson applied for this game, as well. Got soccer, but no football in a 8-9000 seat (?) stadium.

Parking would be tough but that’s where I was hoping it would be too, way too big and nice of a stadium to never host anything like this.

Rock Hill and Valley I saw were thrown out there. Good facilities but visitor sides too small ..

Playoff game should be OU campus field in Athens
Ironton will win the state title this year
Playing a seed 14 team in the final four is a Joke

Iim glad to see some Lawrence County schools get a game like this. That hill at Rock Hill is no fun to climb up. The stadium is nice, the parking is not bad but that hill you have to climb, Ugh!!!!

I cannot believe people are crying over playing 20 miles from home in the 3rd round of playoffs. And as far as South Points stadium the visitor section is bigger than Portsmouth's visitor section which will defiantly hold Burg's crowd from what I saw watching the game Friday. SMH, maybe Ironton will bring some cheese to go with all that whine for Burg.
Re: Wk 14: (9-4) Wheelersburg vs. (12-1) Ironton
Sure, let’s travel further to play than the 2 schools are apart. Jackson is an incredible place to play, amazing facility and people. That wasn’t my point.

Ok, so all these people complaining about where it is being played is ridiculous. I doubt the kids care where they play. The Burg has traveled further to play the last 3 weeks then any other team in the state. Line em up and let's play some ball. Go PIRATES and may the game be injury free so the loser can get started with .

There will be plenty of room. It will be packed but it’s cold, and people will stream it and stay home. Streaming has increased a lot of the past few years. South point will be fine it’s a very nice facility

It's the 4th round of the playoffs - regional championship- and all of Burgs crowd filled the Athens visitors side and some were standing at the fence i was there i saw how many fans Burg had. The part that I hate is that there is a track around sp field but oh well what does it matter cause according to most Tiger fans Burg shouldn't even show up cause the game is gonna be so lopsidedThe Regulator wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 7:34 am I cannot believe people are crying over playing 20 miles from home in the 3rd round of playoffs. You can please some of the people some of the time.......
Ironton is the #1 seed. As far as I'm concerned, the game should be played in Lawrence County. It has nothing to do with hosting schools and/or fan base.

I am GrateFul to have ANY option to watch the FighTing Tigers Play.
We ALL can watch many HS programs games as the kids have an option to start early Audio & Visual Programs in High School, which is probably a great idea to follow through on for some who are undecided on after high school education & getting a head start in what would be a great career, one would think.
I know IHS had this many years ago, not sure now.
Anyway, i’ve seen some great student produced content, with teacher controlled streams out there. I was able to watch HURON home game -V- Milan Edison in regular season Live, & it was of HIGH PRODUCTION, with great audio, video, graphics, score stream, downs, quarters, time display & Instant replay.
IMPRESSIVE.
OHSAA. TV IS HORRENDOUS. It was bad this year AGAIN!
I have not asked for a refund this year, but last year i, as well as other streamers all got our money back as HP game started late, had no sound, & if was just a camera, that showed the whole field & no one operating it throughout the game!
4Q, someone finally went to camera & started using it.
Long ago, IHS HAD AUDIO & VIDEO DEPT. & they did a great job on small assignments & school news, fun to watch back then!
I know things have vastly changed, but I would love to see IHS offer this to kids, if not Already.

Re: Wk 14: (9-4) Wheelersburg vs. (12-1) Ironton
Would be good if the stream was good if the powers that be would allow for Ironton to stream the game to the Tank. To be played on the scoreboard. Even allowing Burg fans. Charge the fans a few bucks and enjoy the game with a crowd. One way of making the game experience but makes to much sense.
