For the fans who happen to be more than what South Point can hold

Even allowing Burg fans. Charge the fans a few bucks and enjoy the game with a crowd. One way of making the game experience but makes to much sense.
The stadium home side is closed while they are replacing the roof at this time. I guess they could bring chairs and set on the field. That could be pretty cool.

Don’t be surprised if the OHSAA rebrackets for the state semifinals….. Region 19 winner may not play Region 20 winner

SMH, maybe Ironton will bring some cheese to go with all that whine for Burg.
It's the 4th round of the playoffs - regional championship- and all of Burgs crowd filled the Athens visitors side and some were standing at the fence i was there i saw how many fans Burg had. The part that I hate is that there is a track around sp field but oh well what does it matter cause according to most Tiger fans Burg shouldn't even show up cause the game is gonna be so lopsided
Well the place without a track around the field is an insane 45 miles away. So that’s not a good fit for a regional championship.

And the fact there isn’t a track around that field is crazy. Bad decision

Not sure how this ended up at SP, I figured it'd be back at Portsmouth like it was a few years back best option for a game like this would've been Jackson given there is no track and the capacity. With all that aside can Burg pull what they did in 21, very similar scores from week 1 then and now but I just think this Ironton team is just too much for Burg. Going with Ironton by 14

Parking would be tough but that’s where I was hoping it would be too, way too big and nice of a stadium to never host anything like this.
Rock Hill has a football stadium?

The burg faithful will show up. They wont have a crowd like they did at that game though. Burg fans know its going to be another beat down from Ironton. So, most of them will stay home and out of the cold weather

32 degrees, 10 mph wind and maybe rain

Could benefit Ironton even more but maybe the yucky weather gives Burg some extra opportunities

Region 19 vs Region 20 would be the closest matchup for teams traveling.

That's why they almost always have 17 vs 18 and 19 vs 20. Not saying 17 vs 19 couldn't happen.
It should be around a 3 hour difference between the schools left in 17 vs 18 and 19 vs 20. Hour and a half for each team. 18 vs 20 would be around 2 hour between, but that would put 17 vs 19 around 5 hour apart.

How did Burg do against Prep in the rain from that hurricane?

It helped them. Slowed prep down. Which is why weather may favor burg a little but I don’t think that’s going to help burg in the upset. Burg is going to have to run between the tackles efficiently and their passing needs to be carefully orchestrated. They need to shorten this game as much as they can. No one has slowed irontons offense all year. So either the weather does it or burg playing keep away has to.

Going to be interesting in the weather. Cold rain. The worst.

If ironton does not beat themselves they will have no problem. If the flags start flying its a toss up. Sgould be fun to watch.

Burg has to find a way to stop Terry to have a shot at this one. Definitely will have to man him up with 12 and keep a safety over the top. Remember, defensive PI is 15 yard penalty from the LOS in high school ball, I wouldn't be afraid to grab him early in a route if needed.

Almost like a box & 1 in basketball, I would face guard him at all times, he's most dangerous when he gets squared up with you and uses his lateral quickness/shiftiness. I'll pick my poison and take the chances of him burning me on a go route forcing Schreck into making a good pass as opposed to him getting it on a bubble or quick route.

Without terry burgs the better team

This is what my co-workers have been hoping for since Week #6. A Wheelersburg vs Ironton rematch. They believe Wheelersburg will dominate the line of scrimmage and just out tough both Ironton's lines (Offenisve & Defensive). I have no dog in this fight so I will just enjoy the battle. But I am surprised people are saying Wheelerburg is a better team minus one players. I guess time will tell.
