They won't be taking anyone lightly. Some on here thought they would running clock Canada. You won your region whether the competition was "soft" or not. That's an accomplishment.
Not an Ironton fan, but I believe Friday will be a running clock. Region 20 is not good this year, and WSL, making their first state-semis appearance will be overwhelmed.

Now the LC and SR game will be fun to watch. According to Calpreps, IHS is a 12 point favorite over SR and 7 points over LC. Having watched both, I think those numbers should be swapped. Will see…
So by your eyes. LC and SR are both better than St. Edward. Considering you guys keep comparing Ironton and Canada. I watched Canada play St. Edward and was down 15-12 late in game with the ball inside St. Edward 10 yd line and QB fumbled an exchange. I have also watched LC and SR. Both those teams have been in tight games against teams who are suppose to be inferior to them this year. I think the Ironton hatred just comes out on this board from the Wheelersburg posters. Beginning of year it was all Harvest Prep is best team and they got close last year. Then Ironton shuts them down and running clocks them and it goes to another team. Constantly moving the Goal post. Ironton is gonna show up and compete. This team and program is different now and has learned a lot the last few years.
Wow, you are overly sensitive.

When I said “swapped”, I meant that LC should be 12 point underdogs and SR should be 7 point underdogs to IHS. Of the two, I think IHS would have less trouble beating LC versus SR based on how the teams play. Nowhere did I say IHS should be the underdog.

So relax and take a deep breathe.

Ok I understand now. Just get tired of the constant shots and downing of teams in our area. Thought this was another one of those moments.

Not a snowballs chance in Hades.

Ever heard of Tavien St. Clair? Plays for Belafonte Ohio. He’s the QB, OSU commit class 2025, and the Rivals #1 overall prospect in the country. He couldn’t beat Coldwater, a team that has been getting steamrolled by ML.

So although IHS has some really nice players, they have no one even close to St Clair’s talent. And if Coldwater can best a talent like this, IHS would have no chance. As for ML, that’s not even possible.
Talking this year.

Not at all.

Since that is now resolved, what are your thoughts on WSL, LC, and SR? Given that you have seen the teams play, how do you see them matching up with IHS?

I only used the Canada team reference as that was Irontons only loss. Whether D5 is down or not if Ironton wins it all that is a great accomplishment. I'm not an Ironton fan but I wish folks would stop discounting their accomplishments and team they have this year. A lot of work goes into chasing a championship and winning it all. Let's just be happy we have a team from Southern Ohio with a shot at doing something great.

Hard to gauge. No comparable teams. Ironton just needs to focus on Ironton and keep improving. This Ironton team is different. They are fast on both sides of the ball. Multiple play makers and great athletes everywhere. They have the DNA of a Champion. Now they got to take it 1 day at a time and 1 play at a time. If Ironton wins this week. I think you see a different Ironton team in Canton compared to past years. These guys seem confident and loose. They Believe

Any team beating Ironton for the championship will have earned it. The Tiger's demolish teams in the 2nd half of games. It'll take a special team to beat them. My money will be on Ironton. The kids are focused, and dialed in this year.

I think Ironton will win this week and probably play liberty center. I agree this Ironton team is different but northern ohio football is just way better than sourth of I70. I would see Ironton as a solid underdog in that matchup.

OSU didn’t make him a 5-star and the #1 recruit in the nation, Rivals did that.

One of the biggest strengths that Ironton has that many people don’t talk about is depth, Ironton can rotate guys in key positions to keep guys healthy and fresh. The 2 inside LBs only play defense and the DL & DBs rotate guys to stay fresh. Ironton also has 3 great RBs that stay fresh and they love to give QB Edwards 1-2 series a game to switch up things. I’m not sure if WLS, SR or LC has that depth.

Yes, per the OHSAA website, the state semifinal sites are already confirmed. Chillicothe it is.
How is the parking and seating at Chillicothe. Haven't been there in years?

No one in the area has the work ethic of coach Pendleton. The man was a grinder in high , a grinder in college and puts in insane hours for Ironton football. No program works harder and is in better shape. They aren’t here by accident.

I’m sure Pendleton works hard. All the local coaches do but let’s be honest, he’s sitting on a gold mine this year. This Ironton offense is one of the best I’ve seen if not the best. So many weapons and then they have a superstar. It’s been pretty much unstoppable. That means the coaches can be super aggressive on defense. They know that their offense can strike at any moment.

This is the year for Ironton to get it done. I think they walk this week unless something weird happens. I’ve seen south range play and they are good enough to beat Ironton but they will be underdogs. Not seen LC. I’m assuming the same. Underdogs.

You’re wrong , no area coaches live and breath it like Pendleton, none of them.
