Re: Chesapeake Head Coaching Search
I’d like to seem them pluck a Fairland guy or even a Portsmouth guy. These programs year in and year out are hard nosed football teams. Getting a guy from one of these programs would be huge. They could bring that winner mentality back the peake which is long over due.

Heard that Harley Estep of Ashland Blazer is interested in this job, He is an assistant under Chad Tackett, he would be a great choice.
There's the BURG....then there's everyone else!

Re: Chesapeake Head Coaching Search
I know that it was posted formally last week. Multiple Chesapeake School Board Members posted it and shared it on their facebook pages and to social media with the formal posting. I haven’t heard any names yet tho.
Peake can be a good job for the right guy. They have great buy in at the youth league level. The school supports the program with the Peake Performance Program P3 they have great facilities too. I really think this is a much better job than people might realize. Coach Knipp did a really nice job leading the program and putting stuff in place for Peake to be able to win he was dedicated and committed to making sure the kids were training and the right guy can come in and build off that. Good luck to Peake in the search

You have no clue of what you don’t know. Ask Andy Clark what he thinks of this nonsense. Rick Clark has been part of this program for many years. Ask him what he thinks. Dime a dozen you have your own agenda. You support a decision that hurt this program. Remember thatdime-a-dozen wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:06 pm I was able to attend every home game this year and catch 1-2 away games in the internet. Definitely been a lot of attitude problems the last 2-3 years. A lot of unsportsmanlike conducts, and a lot of silly penalties. When I speak discipline I’m not just talking about acting out, I’m also talking about being a discipline football player who can play fundamentally sound and discipline football. I didn’t see much discipline football this year either. To see a poster wonder why Chesapeake decided to move on is wild. They lost TWENTY FOUR conference games in a row, also their 5 huge wins this year were all against teams with sub .500 records, three of which only had 1 win all year, ZERO of them made the playoffs, not to mention Chesapeake Football was a healthy football program during the Phil Davis and Andy Clark eras. This era unfortunately has been hard to watch, and not healthy in the slightest. Also the majority of the weight lifting was done by the P3 program which is ran by volunteers, most of which are not coaches. The new coaching staff will definitely have to pour a new foundation.

My only agenda is to see Chesapeake Football be relevant and compete again! Not sure why this is being spun in to some personal agenda nonsense. The only info you really need is the record from the last 5 years to make an educated assessment that change was needed. Have a wonderful thanksgiving Purpleby2

Re: Chesapeake Head Coaching Search
I spoke to Harley and he said this is not true. He has no interest in the job.
I sent a message to Matt from Harley about this.
