Good mid-week 4 team scrimmage set for tomorrow at South Webster @ 10AM; South Webster, Meigs, Jackson, & Coal Grove. It should be some good physical games for the Jeeps before the season kicks off for them next week at Home on Friday Dec. 6th vs. Green.

Now those would be some scrimmages I would like to hear about. Take in the Warren @ Logan scrimmage tonight?

Does anyone have a breakdown of the Lynchburg-Clay @ Minford foundation game?

Minford by around 30, competitive for probably close to a quarter then the falcons pressure was too much, lead comfortably by half. Not sure why but Shoemaker(player) was out tonight.

How did the supporting cast look? Glockner, Glenn, Reeder, etc.?

Very capable, but Montgomery and Kayser along with Shoemaker will make us go. I think there’s more depth.

Quick thought on Minford/Lynchburg… Minford has more depth than years past. Not sure the quality, but when Shoemaker returns to the lineup, they’ll be hard to beat locally. Kayser is an animal and seems to have added a nice three point shot to his game. That’s not good for opposing teams as he’s been very dominant inside the past two years.

Meigs comes to town Friday for the final tuneup before the season starts FOR REAL.

Western beat Notre Dame tonight in a foundation game. Weird game. Notre Dame wearing practice jerseys, they also had some players banged up that didn't play it looked like. Western won the game by 10+.

Home from The Peake at Portsmouth West scrimmage. Jv played 4 quarters and The Peake won 3 of 4. Coach played all getting some of the freshman a lot of playing time.
Varsity play 5 with The Peake won 3 and of overall score Peake by 12 14 points.
PW has a couple of good shooters, had a big man who looks like a tackle but only played about 4 minutes. Will pressure you on defense, but I think of the two shooters get in foul trouble who would be the go to guy.
The Peake was off a little today as we have have some still recovering from being sick. Jacob Skeens our starting big didn't play at all in one quarter.
Still have one out with injury but getting better.
I will not comment on refs tonight other than be consistent either way good or bad.
Next scrimmage is Monday against Huntington St. Joe as the one scheduled against Huntington Wv High was changed because they are still in playoffs for football.
The possible starting lineup height wise could be 6 5", 6 4", 6 3", 5 11" and 5 10" . But Coach Ater has 9 who can change in and out plus the jv that play up. That includes 6 5" freshmen.

I did not Whs95fan ... I watched the hudl feed ... Warren won all 5 of the 8 min. quarters ... total score was Warren 88 Logan 47 ... Logan didn't appear to be at full strength as they played the first 3 qtrs with a total of 7 players (saw where the Logan National Honor Society Induction was taking place on the same evening as this scrimmage - LHS was missing some players due to this event) ... when Warren played its' starters only the Warriors won by a total of 58-23 (qtrs 1,2,4) ... the Warren 2nd five/six outscored the Logan starters +2 ... 30-24 (qtrs 3,5) ...

Qtr Scores

Warren 18
Logan 07

Warren 20
Logan 09

Warren (2nd 5/6) 15
Logan ..............11

Warren 20
Logan 07

Warren (2nd 5/6) 15
Logan ............ 13

It’s not being live streamed per the South Webster YouTube channel where they usually stream their games. I know pfloyd said he was going so I’m sure he will provide a summary.

There was some good games at the scrimmage today. All the teams played really well and they were a good chance to see some of the local talent.

The Jeeps also played really well and Shupert was shooting lights out for the Jeeps.

val13, I didn't make it this morning to SW's scrimmage ... had an unexpected emergency come up last night, had to wait to see if I needed to be going to Cleveland instead of games today ... got better news late this morning, no trip to Cleveland needed was decided ... getting ready to head over to ZT in 30 minutes or so ... I'll have Napkin Stats on the ZT games late tonight ...
