It’s not being live streamed per the South Webster YouTube channel where they usually stream their games. I know pfloyd said he was going so I’m sure he will provide a summary.
val13, I didn't make it this morning to SW's scrimmage ... had an unexpected emergency come up last night, had to wait to see if I needed to be going to Cleveland instead of games today ... got better news late this morning, no trip to Cleveland needed was decided ... getting ready to head over to ZT in 30 minutes or so ... I'll have Napkin Stats on the ZT games late tonight ...
I’m glad everything turned out ok pfloyd! Prayers to you. I’ll be looking forward to the napkin stats as always!
Likewise, hope everything is good pfloyd!

I got a text summary from the SW scrimmage, but I didn't have eyes on it. So please take it as 2nd hand info.
Scores were apparently kept continuous throughout each matchup's quarters.

I was told that overall, Meigs beat Jackson by 1 pt, hitting a buzzer beater to take the final lead.
And SW and Jackson finished TIED, with SW hitting a 3 in the last few seconds to tie it up.
Jackson finished atop Ironton, but obviously Ironton is missing a significant number of players due to the phenomenal football run!

That's the only detail I received, but that sounds like a perfect situation for all of those teams. Great to have close battles in preseason!

Had the pleasure of being able to break away from work for a little bit to watch South Webster play Meigs, Jackson, and Ironton. The Jeeps played fairly well overall, but however it was a BIG disappointment seeing the attitude of the Roberts kid. Thought this issue was somewhat fixed after watching some of the summer scrimmages, but guess not. The refs could have literally T’d him up in every quarter that was played for him just not being able to keep his mouth shut towards the opposing team and cursing out loud several times. Not real sure why the refs let him get away with doing it really. Coach Persin finally sent him off to the locker room in the last quarter against Ironton for running his mouth to a fellow teammate and shoving him and running his mouth to Coach Persin. The Jeeps are very talented as most their points came from the supporting cast. Shupert, Mault, and Bernard all shot the ball well. Hopefully things can be addressed and cleaned up soon…

1st South Webster 21 Meigs 14
2nd South Webster 11 Meigs 7

Good news pfloyd you didn't have to make the trip to Cleveland. Did it 3 times last year with my sister.
Prayers

I’m sure a lot has been spread all about the Robert’s incident. Stuff like this is just flat out, unacceptable. I was very curious when I heard about this so I asked some fans who were there what all happened, and this is how I took it. Robert’s was running his mouth to another player, when Christian White tried to pull him away from the situation. Robert’s then exceeded to PUSH his teammate away and continued on with his ways. That right there is the first mistake. You have a teammate that cares for you and is looking out for the team, and then you do that… disrespectful. Robert’s then went to the huddle with the team, when Coach Norm Persin, tried to talk to him and settle him down. Robert’s then pushed the coach and did not care and wanted things to be his way. Coach Persin then said “Get him outta here” and also looked toward the parents of Robert’s and said “He’s done” Pushing your teammate is one thing, pushing your coach who has turned the program around, is something that can’t happen period. After all this was said and done, 06 state champ DeCamp even tried to talk to Robert’s and settle him down, but Robert’s didn’t care to hear what the man had to say. It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out. Gonna be a long season for the Jeeps.

Cut him. Maybe he’ll realize he needs the team more than the team needs him.

Could this be among the reasons he is not getting significant college scholarship attention at this point (as of 6 weeks ago the last time I thoroughly researched it)?

It’s really a shame, but it’s probably time to move on. Sad
