Drew Pasteur has Ironton by 10. I think it’ll be a little bit more than that.

I’ve never felt better about the chances of Ironton winning the state championship than I do this year. However, I’ve watched that game too many times to know that you can think you’re the greatest and find out you’re not. Either way how exciting this season has been.

Having said that, I will admit I will be very surprised if Ironton doesn’t win it all this year. I believe, as a whole, this is the best team I’ve ever seen Ironton put on the field before. I know there’s a few that might disagree with me and that’s their right to do so. It does not change my opinion.

I am sure, though, that the coaching staff at Ironton are letting the boys know they better be playing their best or there’s gonna be a lot of tears on the field

Forget past teams, forget best team ever BS none of that matters. It's 2024 and this is for the state title the past teams mean absolutely nothing. I'm going with Ironton by 14 because if this team can't win it now I don't see any route they could take to win a title if they can't win it this year. Key for Ironton will be to do what they've been doing and that's jump out early if Liberty Center keeps it close early on doubts could start to linger.

Last night was the most complete game I've seen Ironton play this year. darn near perfect (minus the 1 fumble). I think our Defense is capable to play w/ the teams up north as are our skill positions..
Can our offensive line stand up ? This has been where we've been pushed around the last few times in Canton...

Good Luck Tigers..
21-17 Ironton

It’s been awesome watching Ironton this year. I’m a neutral fan, but what they’ve been able to do this year with the schedule they had, is mighty impressive. They are more than for real, regardless of the next game. They have left NO DOUBT over the last few weeks. Wishing you luck from Scioto County! Go tigers

It’s actually Liberty Center. They just dismantled South Range 48-14, beat some very good teams and pitched 7 shutouts this season.

That’s a good assessment. If I were betting on this game, I would take Ironton -10. In my opinion, Ironton’s O simply has too many weapons. IHS has the capability to blowout LC. I don’t think LC will blowout IHS.

Think we will know early on about this one. If IHS gets up a couple scores early, it’s over. LC doesn’t have the firepower to come back from a large deficit. If the game is close going into the third and LC can run the ball with some success, watch out. Could be anyone’s game at that point.

Another brutal championship game matchup for the Tigers. I feel like our conditioning which is 365 days , 7 days a week , will carry the day.

Checked their schedule.Had 2 close games against decent teams, but those teams were not on Ironton’s level.

Ironton has been untested so far in this playoff. Their biggest test was harvest prep who had their best offensive and defensive player out. So it’s hard to tell if that was actually a test. Put it this way, calpreps has burg a 10 point favorite over west salem.

LC can play. They mirror Ironton in every way except for Terry. He will determine this game. If he goes off, I see a comfortable 14-21 point win for the tigers. If they keep him to a couple of touchdowns, LC will pull it off.

Crazy how we have gotten better each week. Mark of a great coaching staff and excellent conditioning program.

True. Ironton is the only program in the state that has excellent coaching and conditioning. Liberty Center barely has a program; no conditioning at all and a part time coach that learned football from reading “How to Coach Football for Dummies.”

Your constant rambling about how Ironton outworks everyone. How they are conditioned like no others. How superior their coaching is to anyone else in the state.

You act as if other programs are just chumps.

Reality is that Ironton’s great because they have more college D1 talent than every D5, D6, and D7 teams combined. None of these schools have a Terry, Johnson, etc. Not even close.
